11-2, only lost to a very good Dixie twice and ended the season in the Regional Championship game.

I feel even though they won some games last year that they escaped, barely getting buy us, struggled with Boone, got gashed by Dixie twice. We weren't even by the experts suppose to be able to compete. I don't think with the key losses on defense and the oline that they will be as strong as last year. Receiving is not going to be as productive without Winkler. Hard to replace that production. For instance we were very one dimensional, but won't be. What I saw on the field last year was a strong but slow SK. Teams like Bryan Station can fly. I think our team speed is faster than last year. Coopers line will handle SK just fine, and Torrey is as quick as they come. Call it a hunch or gut feeling but I truly think SK drops at least 3-4 this year. They are still a solid program but overrated. They had too many gimme games in the last few years against programs that were smaller or down. ( like we were) The talent cycle is coming around at Ryle and Cooper. Highland is solid and Bryan runs by them. That's my argument.

Ryle and SK was a nail biter last year, it's all going to depend on who replaced people better. Expect the same type of game this year.

It sucks I have to wait till October to watch SK crush Ryle! SK has never had a problem beating Bryan Station. SK will beat Highlands they have no run defense.

If the anticipation doesn't kill you, losing surely will.

Highlands is the only team I doubt they can beat.

 

The games with CAL and Scott could go either way.

 

I would be surprised if they lost any of the others. There are no guarantees on the field, but that's my view on it.

 

Good thing we have a cupcake game the week before Highlands. SK will more than ready to beat Highlands.

I believe SK will win that game, but I doubt it will be a cakewalk. I also still believe that Highlands will win the game with SK, though I expect SK to put up an excellent fight. I will change my statement about 'Scott' though; when I made it I thought SK was playing Scott County. However, given everything I've heard about Ryle I would put them in Scott's place for 'games that could go either way'.

 

In other words, I still think SK will have somewhere between a 9-1 and 7-3 season. Best of luck to the Pioneers.

Is that a compliment? We've passed the 'solid' program phase. As for overrated, we shall see....

Either team winning would not surprise me, although home field does give SK the advantage. I suppose only time will tell.
