mcpapa Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 To an $11 million+, one-year deal that gives them financial protections should he not toe the line. The Cowboys are my least-liked team ( I hate to use the word "hate" see what I did there),on any level, but this ices the cake. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/dallas-cowboys-sign-de-greg-hardy-200802671.html
spindoc Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Question for those with a similar stance on Hardy: Do we expect him to remain out of football? Blackballed so to speak?
jericho Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 Where did they find the cap room? We just lost starting LB, TB, RT. We got money, lots of money.
halfback20 Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 We just lost starting LB, TB, RT. We got money, lots of money. This says the Cowboys have the 2nd worst cap situation in the NFL. http://overthecap.com/salary-cap-space

It is a different type situation than your standard signing. He has a low base salary of $750,000. The contract can be worth up to $13.1 million, but it is all incentive base. Many expect him to be suspended 6 games which knocks down his number quite a bit. This explains it well: Looking at the Greg Hardy Contract With the Cowboys - Over the Cap
jericho Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 This says the Cowboys have the 2nd worst cap situation in the NFL. NFL Salary Cap Space | Over The Cap All lies, dallas has the party bus, we get to bend the rules.
lawildcat Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 The guy should be in jail. Stupid woman took a monetary settlement and now blood will be on her hands when this guy beats up and threatens another woman. It's only a matter of time before that happens. But he's great at football so let's ignore all that other pesky stuff.

lawildcat Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 I though she failed to show up at court and charges were dropped. She refused to testify at the 2nd trial in lieu of a private settlement.
jericho Posted March 19, 2015 Posted March 19, 2015 She is very good looking, could do better with another guy. Was obviously in the relationship for the money. Still no excuse for him to ever hit her.
ggclfan Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 She refused to testify at the 2nd trial in lieu of a private settlement. I see what you are saying LA but I cannot blame her. Him going to jail does not help her at all. If he gives her half a mil or more, it changes her life for the better. Hopefully he will be on his best behavior because he knows the NFL will be looking at him VERY closely going forward. If not, we can only hope karma takes care of him at some point...
