State Top 25

If you take out the last week Model should be a top 25 team. Recently we haven't been hitting but it'll come back to us and we have four pitchers who on any given day can beat anyone in our region.

Are they not in the 11th region anymore???

Model is still in the 11th.

Well to say that Model has 4 pitchers that can beat anyone in the 11th region on any day is a very bold statement to say the least!

You make plenty of bold statements why can't he.Do you know their pitchers and how good they are?Maybe they can beat anyone on a given day that can be said of a lot of pitchers.

While its true they could get hot, the 1st and 2nd place teams of the 43 district will most likely be favorites coming into the region. You also have Woodford Co. and Henry Clay who are pretty tough teams as well. It will be difficult for Model to make it all the way through the region, even if they get to the regionals.

I have seen Model play, since I live in Richmond...Honestly they have as much chance of winning the 11th as Milford does.

Some of the best teams in the state are....

*PRP

Male

Trinity

Lex Cath

Eastern

St X

*Only 1 loss to a Ky team (NCC 8 PRP 2) - Also beat NCC that same day by the score of 13-3. Both games were played the same day @ Paul Dunbar.

The Coaches Poll seems a little strange. Here are some of what I see:

1. Paul Dunbar at #10 (17-11)?????????

2. Tates Creek at #15 (20-12)????????

3. Henry Clay at #16 (20-10)?????????

4. Louisville Ballard at #25 (19-10)????

No disrespect to these teams, but it seems like a lot of deserving teams are ignored. Here are some of the teams I've found are overlooked:

1. St. Mary (20-6)

2. Bourbon Co. (20-4)

3. Harrison Co. (20-5)

4. Leslie Co. (23-4)

5. East Carter (25-5)

Not even an honorable mention vote for either of these five teams. There are also several other 20 game winners without a single vote (Raceland 21-8, Russell 22-12, Fairview 20-9- and that is just from the 16th region).

Plus, Clark County received two votes and there isn't even a Clark County High School! If you are thinking they meant George Rogers Clark, they also are on the list with votes!

Can't explain the GRC and Clark County thing. Harrison and Bourbon have played much weaker schedules than the others who are rated with worse records. That's not to take anything away from the Thorobreds and Colonels accomplishments, because both teams have had outstanding seasons.

The teams whose rankings you question have all played much tougher schedules than the ones you are touting. I doubt that those teams would have similar records against the same schedules.

St. Mary is, at best, the #3 team in Region 1 ... the Region 1 teams ranked above them have beaten them soundly.
