Noah Young did a tremendous job on defense tonight against Hagen Tyler. I haven't seen that mentioned and it should be. When looking at Hagen and Noah you'd expect Hagen to win that matchup consistently but Noah did a great job on him when tasked with guarding Hagen. Just a great job by Coach Jackson and his staff to have Lincoln County at the level they were at tonight.

 

I would LOVE for Boyle County/Lincoln County IV to take place a week from Tuesday.

Well, at least we can say those points resulting from the technical didn't cost us the game.

Seems that the head official botched the bookkeeping by using the book from the last game instead of the one Boyle provided for tonight's game (#3 did not dress that game as he was sick). To make matters worse for Boyle, the official scorer waited until Boyle had just made a stop at a pivotal point in the game to stop play rather than at the time #3 checked in. So Lincoln was given an extra possession plus the two free throws AFTER the Boyle stop.

 

Props to Lincoln for a executing a great game plan, but easy to see why the Boyle coach was so angry.

I believe it was a 7-point game at the time. Lincoln only made one of the technical free throws, but as you said, the wheels were starting to fall off for Boyle.

When he shakes his head no, that is when Coach Adams ask him if he counted the player in the book and then counted the player on the floor and Bryant said no. I know this because I was the guy at the Computer with not much hair.

 

It seems like I always see the refs count the players on the floor during warmups and check and double check the books before games. Surprising this practice didn't take place tonight. Especially with a game of this magnitude.

Well got to go to bed going to go the drawing tomorrow. Great win for Lincoln and we can only hope to play each other again in the Regional Finals.

Yeah, some momentum may have been lost but it was the second quarter then. Plenty of time to recover but we couldn't. Lincoln County was really really good tonight.

You could argue that Boyle has been sleep walking since beating the Pats at Boyle. Maybe this loss wakes up this team and becomes a motivating mechanism. Otherwise maybe it puts them to sleep permanently for this season. Sunday is March 1. Let the Madness begin:popcorn:

Lincoln County winning tonight snapped a 9 game winning streak for Boyle County. If that is Boyle County sleepwalking then I hope they have been woken up and that they have a motivating mechanism. I'd love another 9 game winning streak after a loss. The Boyle County Rebels are certainly capable of doing so.
