They will rally and after a few days or weeks thing will go back to usual, Putin controls the ballot box and will have a few people killed and blame the murder on them, dead men don't tell tales.

 

But I can't see Putin orderin this in such a open and the way it was done, I'm sure he is smarter than this and would have at least made it look like a robbery instead of execution.

If you ever been to Moscow, around the Kremlin there are Cameras everywhere! There is no blind spots, they have that area covered very very well. Who (besides Putin's inter circle) would even attempt such a thing in that area? This was a strong message being just outside of the Kremlin walls, that message is if you go too strong against Putin, we will hunt you down anywhere!

 

A few hours before he was killed he gave an interview talking about Putin's involvement in Ukraine, and was set to release proof to the Russian people of Putin's involvement in Ukraine. Throughout my training it was said many times, there is no such thing as coincidences.
