February 27, 201511 yr I'm willing to bet if there is a video the Cowboys and the NFL have already seen it. I just find it comical that almost 4 years later a video is surfacing. It's hard for me to believe this isn't intentional. Me too. Especially since Dallas hasn't walked away from the negotiating table. If they were that concerned they wouldn't even bother trying to re-sign him or franchise him.
February 27, 201511 yr New evidence is new evidence and the NFL will have to fully investigate it and if it is really bad there will be HUGE public outcry. This really becomes more a question for our BGP lawyers based on statues of limitation, changing policies in the NFL, rules of evidence, common sense, etc. The CBA and any personal conduct provisions in an individual player's contract will ultimately determine what the commissioner is allowed to do as far as discipline, which is completely different that what a criminal court would be allowed to do. I don't know enough about the league's conduct policy or the CBA to really say what would ultimately happen. I do believe that if the conduct came before the current policy, no judge evaluating potential league discipline under the current conduct policy would uphold that discipline, just as was the case with Peterson.

February 27, 201511 yr I would like to see someone in authority turn up the heat on Walmart to either acknowledge there is a video or deny there is a video. Walmart has been silent to my knowledge and that tells me they know something they do not want to tell.
February 28, 201511 yr How long does Walmart keep video footage? If they saved it at the time they don't really get rid of it. But if something happens and a copy isn't made of the incident at that time the DVR limit is about 45-60 days depending on the system in the store.
February 28, 201511 yr If the police requested video at the time they word have a copy and the store "Should" have a copy in their files attached to the written request from the police from 2011. Walmart CCTV video rarely gets out from Walmart...if it gets out in most cases its from the police side releasing it.

Doubt the player's union would sit around and stay quiet if there's a precedent for teams to sit on incidents until it's time to use them against the player as negotiating leverage.
