For the two with scholarships, no risk in playing football unless UK or UL tell them they can't play. They have scholarships already so they don't have to worry about what might happen in football. Slusher is apparently being recruited for football as much if not more than he is for baseball and he has nothing in hand so he needs to play football. Fieger I heard quit basketball so he could work out for football so it sure sounds like he is back. Like I said, I don't know. I figured Slusher and Fieger would play. But getting hurt for the other two could be big. I hear the Slusher kid is probably the best player on the field.

BAC, I watched both H and BW play against MF and researched both in 2010 and in my opinion, which is not necessarily worth the space I am using to type on, BW was better by a decent margin. MF scored at will on H but not even close to so with BW.

Scoring at will would be like against Williamsburg. You put 38 on Beechwood at Beechwood. Who else can say that besides Highlands or some other Kentucky power. Mayfield was mentally and physically ready for the game and Hazard was not. Mayfield punch them in the mouth and they never recovered. But Hazard came back the next year and was and punched Mayfield in the mouth.

Like I said, that is my opinion, nothing will change that but it is just that my opinion only so count it however you wish. I do agree that MF punched H in the mouth and H never pulled it back together but had they played 20 more quarters H could not stop MF. I also stated I though BW was 2nd best this year only behind MF and the reason I felt that was because of the same thing happening to BW. MF hit them hard early with a blitzkrieg and BW never recovered. BW in my opinion was very very good. That said so was Wburg but I thought BW was better. MF, after the 2013 Massacre of Wburg really did not seem to take that game seriously enough reading to many headlines. That last statement said, I do say that wearing my MF shaded glasses

See, I look at this differently. If you already have a D1 scholarship, why not play football? If you get hurt, the school will honor the scholarship. If the player is ready to move on and doesn't want to play football, then I get that. But I don't see there being any risk in playing unless the school tells the player not to play football.

I ain't going to take nothing away from the 2013 Williamsburg but I don't think they was 2nd best. Hazard and Pikeville both was better in my opinion. Even though hazard lost to them I think Hazard got in a panic and it cost them. They went away from the run and went to throwing 30 yard to 40 yard bombs.

If you are heading into your senior year and have the talent and aspiration to play and it get drafted into the league, there is not a better tournament to improve your stock than in September in Jupiter, Fl. Maybe these kids want to experience that? Can't play football and remain sharp enough on the diamond to compete down there, it's a crazy environment with at least a hundred scouts at each game, especially when the Midland boys roll in. I agree that colleges will honor the ship even with energy-heck signing day is before thhe season over. However, not playing down there does hurt your exposure opps with the MLB scouts
