Inside the 10th Region (2-16-15)

Featured Replies

Wouldn't it be great if GRC beats LexCath on Friday?

It would be a great boost to all teams in the 10th Region.

If I was able I would do a dance....:lol2:

If we played like we did against LCA we could beat them.

That would be huge for them heading into the 10th that's for sure. But on any given night anything can happen.

seems like I've heard that somewhere before.

What I have been saying in regular season and post season.

That is correct.

Even-steven.

That is a very misleading stat. It is taking the top 10 in the 10th against everyone in the 11th.

If you go top 10 vs. top 10 (per Joker last week) it drops to something like 7-14.

My list compares top ten 10th region teams to each other with all of the 11th region as a measuring stick.

I was not comparing the 10th to the 11th.

Would love to see pre-season ratings versus this final pole. Certainly there have been under, over, and surprise achievers. Might be pretty interesting?

In the pre-season we ranked the Top 10 like this:

1. Campbell County

2. George Rogers Clark

3. Mason County

4. Scott

5. Montgomery County

6. Harrison County

7. Paris

8. Bishop Brossart

9. Augusta

10. Bracken County

Use the 11th Region as a measuring stick:

(record against the 11th region)

1. Mason County (2-1) Wins - Dunbar and Madison Central / Loss - Lexington Catholic

2. Montgomery County (2-3) Wins - Franklin County and Madison Southern / Losses - Madison Central, Dunbar, and Henry Clay

3. George Rogers Clark (3-2) Wins - Woodford County, Madison Southern, and LCA / Losses - Madison Central and Scott County

4. Scott (2-0) Wins - Dunbar and Model

5. Harrison County (1-2) Win - Madison Central / Losses - Woodford County and Henry Clay

6. Campbell County (0-2) Losses - Madison Central and LCA

7. Bishop Brossart (1-1) Win - Western Hills / Loss - Sayre

8. Paris (4-2) Wins - LCA, Frankfort, Model, and Sayre / Losses - Tates Creek and Bryan Station

9. Pendleton County (0-2) Losses - Scott County and Sayre

10. Bracken County (2-1) Wins - Model twice / Loss - Woodford County

The other 6 teams in the 10th region vs the 11th region.

Silver Grove (1-0) - Win - Model

St. Patrick (0-1) - Loss - Western Hills

Bourbon County (0-6) - Losses - Sayre, Frankfort, Scott County, Western Hills, Woodford County, Madison Southern

Robertson County (0-2) - Losses - Berea and Model

Calvary Christian (0-0)

Nicholas County (2-4) - Wins - Western Hills and Berea / Losses - Model (twice), Frankfort, and Sayre

This is a record of 3-12 for the other 6 teams in the 10th region versus the 11th region.

This makes the 10th region 20-28 in the 2014-2015 basketball season against the 11th region.
