60 Minutes Correspondent Dies

Featured Replies

Bob Simon was killed in NYC when the cab he was in was involved in a crash.

I liked him, he's done several stories that I really enjoyed.

Sad day in the world of journalism. Bob Simon was and will always be a media icon. I will certainly miss his fantastic segments on 60 Minutes. Prayers to his family and friends.

Damn. He was a great journalist.

Did great job reporting in Vietnam War.

He really was held captive in Iraq for a month. RIP. I liked him, also.

Unlike certain other national journalists?

Sad to hear. Hope others involved are safe.

Lots of other journalists tweeting out links to stories he's done over the years. Pretty high praise from among his peers.

Sounds like his driver had a heart attack causing the accident. Talk about your bad luck.

RIP Bob ....he was very good at what he did.
