Lloyd Tubman Not Indicted on Rape Charge

Featured Replies

One of Larson's assistants presented the evidence in the grand jury proceedings. Asked whether he was surprised that the grand jury didn't return an indictment, Larson said, "We don't try to influence the grand jury. We just put on the evidence and get out of the way, and they have all the evidence that we have, and it's up to them to make that decision. If they choose to indict a case, we go ahead and try it or deal with it somehow."

Seems as if he explained exactly what the Commonwealth's Attorney is supposed to do and did in this case.

Now the question is: does he go back to the team?

If I was in his situation, I would get as far away as I could as it would be embarrassing.

So I go back and read the thread titled "Lloyd Tubman Suspended Indefinitely" and I just shake my head. Thread had 79 comments (most very critical) and over 2,100 views. This thread announces the kid has been exonerated and we get 70+ views and 3 posts. Perfect example of what is so wrong with our society and how flawed things are these days. People need to come down off of their holier than now attitudes and wait for facts to come out before sending people to the gallows. This kid had a case similar to Chuck Hayes, yet Hayes gets the hall pass and Tubman goes to the hanging tree. Just incredulous to me that people will convict people and enjoy their plights based on accusations that are either baseless in facts or a he said/she said situation. Lloyd should be allowed to get his life back and continue as a student athlete if he so chooses. I really hope Coach Stoops does the right thing and brings him back in June to resume his life. He deserves it.

Good for Him. Remember in the public eye you are guilty until proven innocent.

Glad to see the indictment dropped, I hope for the girls sake that justice was fairly served. If so he deserves his spot back with the team. No Spring ball will hurt him but hopefully he can rejoin the team in the summer.

You make some good points.

Well you know why that is. One plays/played basketball, one doesn't...

This makes the Baker/Barker bar fight thread lots of fun to read. Especially the last 3 pages or so.
