June 17, 201511 yr The problem with Jon resurrecting with the help of the Red Witch is that would make this The Song of Fire( Jon) and Fire( dany). I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't a White Walker. The Night's King in Hardhome found him really interesting. Or perhaps with the theory on parentage he is both in one.
June 18, 201511 yr What Mellisandre said to Arya in season three (wasn't in the books): "I see a darkness in you. And in that darkness, eyes staring back at me. Brown eyes, blue eyes, green eyes... eyes you'll shut forever. We will meet again."
June 19, 201511 yr I think they are playing coy with him "being dead". Although Kit Harrington confirmed he won't return, he's dead, blah blah blah, I just don't see how that can be possible given the point in the book, and show. I know fan theories are just that....theories, but "Fire and Ice" are named for a reason, and there's a lot of story detail that basically gives Jon a lot more going forward. I don't see how they can legit kill him off permanently. IMO The Red Witch seen that Stannis was in fact not the new king and that Jon was the correct path, why else would she leave all of a sudden. I don't believe Stannis is dead or they would have shown it...Name one meaningful character they've killed off screen during the show's five seasons. IF Jon is resurrected I believe he travels towards Winterfell and that's when the Boltons are defeated. He joins Stannis at that point not knowing his army is dead. That's the common denominator IMO. Stannis wants them dead, Brienne wants to save Sansa, and Jon also wants to defeated the Boltons as well to save his sister (learned by Brienne). Definitely be interesting to see the Theon, Stannis storyline if Stannis is indeed alive. IMO, Stannis is 100% dead. Jon...I hope not.
June 20, 201511 yr Author IMO, Stannis is 100% dead. Jon...I hope not. Na. If he was dead they would have shown it. Thats a huge plot to just not show. My guess, last thing he said to Brienne was "do your duty" which I think leads her right back to Sansa.

My guess, last thing he said to Brienne was "do your duty" which I think leads her right back to Sansa. I agree. GoT has never been shy about showing heads roll. Brienne may have taken a body part but she didn't kill Stannis. For all intents and purposes Stannis was "dead" when Brienne found him. Side note. I'm really enjoying speculating about what's going to happen rather then knowing and wondering how they're going to portray it.
June 21, 201511 yr Na. If he was dead they would have shown it. Thats a huge plot to just not show. My guess, last thing he said to Brienne was "do your duty" which I think leads her right back to Sansa. Stannis the mannis is dead buddy.
June 21, 201511 yr Stannis the mannis is dead buddy. I guarantee he's not dead right now in the show. He may die soon but no way they kill him off screen. Way too important of a character.
June 22, 201511 yr I guarantee he's not dead right now in the show. He may die soon but no way they kill him off screen. Way too important of a character. He's dead. What would you gain by seeing his head chopped off? King Robert was basically killed off screen.
June 22, 201511 yr He's dead. What would you gain by seeing his head chopped off? King Robert was basically killed off screen. I'm torn. GOT normally doesn't hide the death of a major character. But I also don't know what Stannis has left to offer.
June 22, 201511 yr He's dead. What would you gain by seeing his head chopped off? King Robert was basically killed off screen. Have you seen the teaser chapter for the new book? If not you may want to check it out, it points to a different story of sorts but who knows if the show will go that route.
June 23, 201511 yr Have you seen the teaser chapter for the new book? If not you may want to check it out, it points to a different story of sorts but who knows if the show will go that route. The books are the books. Stannis' story has went further in the show than it has in the books. What else does he have left to do? His army is dead. His family is dead. Melisandre left him...
