This game is another great example of "It ain't over till its over". Congrats to MoCo for the win.

I think the 40th district tourney will be amazing.

Congrats To MoCo on the W. 2 or 22 it's a notch in the W column.

Wish I could have been there to see this one. I bet the Blue Crew was going nuts!

Sam Hodgson also had a very nice game for the Indians and Shelby Combs was a big match-up problem for the Cardinals.

GRC jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead, but Montgomery Co scored 10 straight (including a 3 by Shelby Combs). The Indians lead was 5-8 the rest of the first half, but a King 3 at the halftime buzzer cut it to 2.

The Indians again built a sizable lead in the second half, but GRC kept coming back. After a big 3 by GRC finally gave them the lead with about two minutes left Sam Hodgson came down and and answered with a 3 to put the Indians back by 1. The Indians then kept hitting 1 of 2 free throws to leave the door open for the Cards who finally tied it on a King 3 with 8.3 left.

The Cards pressured the Indians in the backcourt and got a steal (I think it was Anderson), but he rushed a shot at the other end and the ball got stuck between the basket and the rim with 1.1 left. The possession arrow gave the ball to the Indians and lead to Chism's game winner.

The shot was about as close to the buzzer as possible and really could have gone either way, but the official quickly made the call to count it.

The game had a postseason atmosphere and was a great game to watch, but was a very unfortunate game for one team to have to lose.

This was a double header with the girls. GRC won 67-39

Didn't look like the ball made it in time, but it was called that way and GRC had a chance to win it and didn't. The atmosphere doesn't get any better than it was tonight and I have been to ALOT of games.

We could not throw it in the ocean for 3 1/2 quarters. but with our defense kept the game close. Then about 4 minutes in the game we started hitting some shots. Green got into foul trouble in the 3rd quarter and that hurt us.

REZ how many 3's did MoCo make tonight , I know they had close to 10 if not more. Would have loved to have won this game, but it is post season in the ones that really matter.

Great win for MoCo tonight.

They stormed the court! It was construction theme night for the blue crew.

Clark co was 8-16 from three pt land and 22 for 43 in the game. MoCo made 10 of 19 threes.

Found my stats. MoCo had 10 3's for the night. GRC had 8 with 4 of those coming in the 4th quarter.

Scoring:

GRC Israel 1

Cornelius 7

King 15

Anderson 11

Green 13

Sharrock 2

Davis 8

MoCo

Fuller 4 ( King did a great job on him tonight)

Walker 5

Chism 19

Parding 2

Hopkins 2

Combs 11

Guess this ends discussion of the 1 and 1a argument. Solid win for MoCo.

Yes.

Loss 6 games by a total of 20 points.

We will be a tough out.

This one sure seems like the thriller GRC/MoCo games often end up being. Nice win for the Indians.

I think Matt Daniel has to be in conversation for Coach of the Year in the 10th, especially given that no one except maybe Brossart lost as much as Montgomery did from last year.

Looks like a coaching issue if you are losing that many close games, or just flat cant finish. And maybe a tough out, but out is out.

We have a ways to go before we get back to where we were in 2010-2011 and 2011-2012, but I will take 16-6 any year over back-to-back 9 win seasons.

We have turned the corner and we now have to aim for the prize.

I don't care if you lost 6 games or 20 games a W is a W and a L is a L. Finishing close games is a must in March and if you can't do it in March then there's no second chances.

Your wife Edith just told me that every team loses in a tournament except 1.
