1.1 seconds left. Ball was passed the length of the court to Fuller who was double teamed. Ball deflected to Chism near the free throw line. His flip from straight away banked in.

 

Joe had a career night. Had at least 17

Sam Hodgson also had a very nice game for the Indians and Shelby Combs was a big match-up problem for the Cardinals.

 

GRC jumped out to a quick 5-0 lead, but Montgomery Co scored 10 straight (including a 3 by Shelby Combs). The Indians lead was 5-8 the rest of the first half, but a King 3 at the halftime buzzer cut it to 2.

 

The Indians again built a sizable lead in the second half, but GRC kept coming back. After a big 3 by GRC finally gave them the lead with about two minutes left Sam Hodgson came down and and answered with a 3 to put the Indians back by 1. The Indians then kept hitting 1 of 2 free throws to leave the door open for the Cards who finally tied it on a King 3 with 8.3 left.

 

The Cards pressured the Indians in the backcourt and got a steal (I think it was Anderson), but he rushed a shot at the other end and the ball got stuck between the basket and the rim with 1.1 left. The possession arrow gave the ball to the Indians and lead to Chism's game winner.

The shot was about as close to the buzzer as possible and really could have gone either way, but the official quickly made the call to count it.

 

The game had a postseason atmosphere and was a great game to watch, but was a very unfortunate game for one team to have to lose.
