Yes, or so I thought but I haven't been paying attention as alot of us do.

Dante Smith out of oldham county is in the NBDL right now.

I dont think anyone has come straight out of kentucky, and went straight to the pros

Brandon Bender said he was going to after his junior year of HS but played four years at Ballard and he and Carlos played one year at U of L, two at some JUCO and one at a small school in college before turning pro. Neither has done much and not even sniffed the NBA.

 

Dontae Smith went to JUCO for two years!

Donta is actually back with the Atlanta Hawks now. He was called up in March and had a vey nice game about a week ago. Scored like 13 points in 27 minutes of action against the Nets. Also had a pretty nice dunk that made the Sportscenter highlights.

 

He was an excellent athlete in high school and I would have loved to have seen him play for the Cards. I think he could have done very well in Rick's system.
