January 20, 201511 yr I believe Hopple St. They say it is the Hopple St overpass/exit. This is the old overpass, not the new one.

January 20, 201511 yr I wonder if they were in the process of dismantling the old overpass and something went wrong. For those familiar with it, this would be the old overpass from the fast lane going north on I75 that crossed over the southbound side and looped to Hopple St.

For those familiar with it, this would be the old overpass from the fast lane going north on I75 that crossed over the southbound side and looped to Hopple St. That's what I was speculating. This is going to take a while to investigate and more importantly remove rubble to see if anyone else is under it. I pray not.
January 20, 201511 yr I am a little confused. I get off that exit for work. They did change the exit ramp to the right, and improved the right side of the overpass but the overpass itself didn't change. A lot of heavy trucks on that overpass for months during construction. Wonder if that damaged the it?

January 20, 201511 yr Channel 12 just aired a live feed and the reporter is talking about "good signs" but it looked like (and excuse me if this sounds gruesome) a firefighter was covering a body. The firefighter was near a construction vehicle so it could been the previously mentioned construction worker.
January 20, 201511 yr @HankMolski: The bridge that collapsed was the old Hopple Street Bridge. Interstate 75 on the southbound side will be closed indefinitely, CPD confirms.
January 20, 201511 yr WKRC keeps saying the firefighters have "no sense of urgency" so that must be a good sign but I believe they are standing near the deceased construction worker.
January 20, 201511 yr @CincyFireEMS: Panorama view of the bridge collapse on south I-75 in Cincinnati. This was the old northbound off ramp to Hopple St http://t.co/yMOEcP1Jxp
