WCPO is still live but they are just rehashing what we already know. I am about to hit the hay. Thoughts out to the families of the construction worker who lost their life and the semi driver who was injured.

Key points are as follows (some may already be known): Workplace incident Something went wrong with construction Construction worker loss of life Don't believe any other loss of life One person with minor lacerations (semi driver) Investigation will determine exact cause Internal investigation and DOT investigation Several hundred tons of concrete on ground Atleast 48 hour closure is anticipated Crews were taking down the old bridge when collapse happened Both semi driver and construction worker are men Semi driver was very lucky Combination of semi driving into collapse and collapse on top of his truck More information will be given in the morning City will engage state DOT to determine level of cooperation

January 20, 201511 yr It looks like the entire section of the overpass fell onto 75. Looks like the track-hoe was working from the top of that overpass and dropped with it.
