Western Hills Job Opening

Featured Replies

Don Miller is the New Coach at Western Hills. Coach Miller coached at Dunbar and Woodfrod County. Good young Coach I think is a good hire. Good Luck Coach Miller and to the kids at WHHS. They need someone that is going to give them stability.

I agree. I believe this is a solid hire. Some of the assistants are familiar with Coach Miller. I believe that this team will build on the steady improvement from last year and have a successful year. Even though WHHS have been without a head coach, the assistants and the current players were putting some serious work in the weight room.

I don't think either team has ever put anymore than 50 on the board against WHHS. Pretty bold statement this early in the off season. But it will be funny to see you pull your foot out of your mouth! :ylsuper:

IF Hills ever makes ANYONE pull their foot out of their mouth, Im sure oldone will admit he was wrong...

Congats, to Don Miller I have seen him at work and seen his defenses, I believe he will do a good job. I am glad to see someone gave him a shot finally. With Miller at the helm the d will definitely improve, as for offense i wonder what he will run?

I heard today that the job was offered first to Robbie Sayre from Lafayette but the Western Hills Admin. would not find him a job in the building and he turned it down. I hope the Hills administration found somewhere for Miller in the building. It seems as if nothing has changed at western hills.

It is not "would not" it is "could not". Sayre was not certified for a particular science position. They asked him to take the appropriate test for certification but he respectfully declined. They also had a position open at EDC but he did not want to be that far away during the day. Not that I blame him. But he had the opportunity to test out for the position.

So they pretty much what you are saying is they wouldn't move things around or let him teach with his current certification. something to the effect of: "Oh the job is yours if........... you attain another certification."

Again it seems nothing has changed at hills I just hope Miller and his certification fit into what hills had available so he doesn't have to travel like mooney did.

I thinkt there was a little more to that than that. They tried to see if they could shuffle some teachers around to get him in but they were not able to. However, I think the situation has worked out for the better. I think coach miller will keep up the work that Mooney and Engstrand has instilled into these kids and get this program where it belongs. I look forward to watching to see what happens:thumb:

Don Miller is the new head coach. They open up on August 19th, 2006

If Coach Miller has the job why are they interviewing next week? I haven't heard names but heard there are 3 interviews set up for Monday/ or Tuesday.

I hope you didn't pay money for that information

The district AD should know this info shouldn't he?
