Out coached sorry I needed a good laugh I didn't know coaches scored the points.

weren't you just boasting on prior threads about the SK coaching staff having D1 experience? so either the coaches do or not impact the game…… let us know when you make up your mind.

It DOES effect the outcome....you can no longer say you are undefeated.

I bet TellItLikeItIs is trying to say that the two teams aren't in the same region, so the outcome of this game doesn't affect the final outcome in the region for either team. That's what I took out of it any way. I could be wrong.

Great game by the Lady Eagles! All a round awesome team play.

I am sure that when Scott goes to SK and has 8th region officials they think that it's 8 on 5 as well.

Teams half to adapt to the way that the game is being called. If they can't adapt to different officials then they will be out early when the Region rolls around!

The officials probably called the game the way that it is supposed to be called. SK fouls a lot. They played extremely hard but they foul. Some nights it benefits you, other nights it don't.

Congrats to Scott on a nice win!

I did not blame the loss on the referees I was just saying but everytime Simon Kenton plays at Scott they have to play 8 on 5.

Tonight was about SK not being able to guard on defense, and protect the three point line. They showed very little defensive effort tonight and it caught up with them. But they have a day to sit down and see what happened the past 2 nights to figure it out.

Saying "playing 8 on 5 is hard" sounds very much like a blame game just so you know. 99.9% of officials simply don't care who wins. The overwhelming majority are just trying to do the best they can and call an fair game. But, of course, 50% of fans are upset by every call ;)

Agreed that this game has no effect on regional rankings and zero impact on on seeding or qualification for region/districts. But after watching the game film if you think this game was about rankings then you missed the best part of this game and its story!!!

This game was an old fashion grudge match. Between off the court friendships, AAU teammates, county rivalries, past histories, bragging rights and an undefeated season on the line there were more plot lines to follow than a season of The Bachelor. And the best part is the intensity of the game matched that from the opening tip off to the final buzzer. The top players for both teams brought it for this game and to the refs credit they controlled the game but also let them play. Fouls broke down almost evenly but what made the difference was where the fouls took place on the court.

As a side note: During the game there was a loose ball "scrum" that saw bodies flying everywhere and #22 for the Lady Neers went down. Didnt see it at full speed, but Seeing on film looked pretty bad. Saw her walking around later on the sideline but in the heat of the game lost track of her. I think I can speak for all in attendance that we hope she is OK.

Agreed. SHS came to play it seems and SK did not do what they typically do. There has definitely been a rebirth of a great rivalry here. It was a knock down, drag out grudge match...this is what makes sports fun!

Not 100% sure but I think that this is Kayla Krohman. Freshman guard for SK. Heck of a player.

I beg to differ. E-town has not lost in state yet while maintaining a 30 point margin of victory over Kentucky teams!

Apparently reading is not taught in Etown independent schools.

Well I'm an idiot! Just noticed you said "only team in NKY without a loss"....ugh!

Or this, lol.

Always interesting when the definition of an "evenly called game" involves counting fouls or when fairness is determined by the line "8 on 5". Play hard, execute, adjust and win or lose....happens every game in every region in every state.

Would like to hear other opinions, but to me this game was no upset. Switch the two teams schedules and I believe Scott could very well have been undefeated and SK would have a similar record to Scott. That being said I cant believe anyone from Scott would think they are better off without Niece.

Not the athlete....the situation.

Scott's team is better this year than they were last year. IMO
