We average 7 TO's a game...for the season. And that's even up a little. You can say all you want. I know where you're bball knowledge level is. You talked about who we might get a couple dribbles out of. Right there tells me what you know. What good ball handling team beats pressure by dribbling????

Pass judgment??? This is where all you guys are getting it wrong. I have said nothing but good things about Holmes. Are you upset because I feel their schedule is no stronger than HHS at the moment. That has nothing to do with whether I think Holmes is a good team or not. I know they are. But their opponents (as a body of work) have not been any stronger than HHS. No spinning needed. There's nothing wrong with it and it has no reflection of how good I think Holmes is.

 

And we have not play great either and managed just fine too. A loss on a last second three in overtime is not much different than a double overtime win. So again, very similar. You're splitting hairs.

They are getting plenty of recognition and I know they are good and so do plenty of others. They don't need marketing. Again. I just asked soccer dummy why he felt they would run away from HHS and it exploded to this. That's it. People got defensive because I asked for more reasoning behind his opinion.

I actually had my own AAU org for about 7 years and have coached or trained SEVERAL players that'are playing for teams all over NKY...including at your beloved school. So I may not have as much experience as you, but l know a little about the game. Thanks for your concern.

Sorry. Don't know sleeper cells. Just basketball...and softball...and football...and baseball. I also know a little about volleyball and soccer. But just enough to be dangerous.

With Holmes playing HolyCross on 22nd and HHS playing them on the 24th, hopefully both teams won't catch that bug going around.

Well, for what its worth, I'm very happy SK is not in the same region as Holmes. We know what its like to have a top 5 team in our path to the regional title. To be honest, Holy Cross and Highlands do not scare me like Holmes does. Thier combination of depth and athleticism neutralizes some of the advantage SK typically has over an opponent. Perhaps a meeting in the state tournament is in order?

Okay, I have a challenge for you. Click on my user name. Then click on "view recent post". Then look at my posts on anything Holmes (outside of the Taft score which I apparently was not the only person in agreement with that! ), show me where I'm anything but complimentary of the Bulldogs...congrats and players recognition, etc. I'll save you some time...you won't find any negative.

 

Secondly...go to my first post in this thread. I ask as simple question from a poster that makes a statement alluding to HHS, their SOS and thay Holmes would run away from HHS. My question is asking that person to fill in the blanks on why he felt that way. So in fact, it wasn't even a question about Holmes at all. It was a question as to why he felt HHS couldn't play with them. Then, all the Holmes people jumped in defensively like "how dare I ask a question on why he felt HHS couldn't play with Holmes." Defensive???? And throughout this thread, the ONLY thing anyone could take away from me be negative is that I compare Holmes SOS to HHS. I didn't even say worse, I said the same. Somehow that translates with you that I'm dogging on the Dawgs! If the Bulldog fans weren't so defensive, this thread would have not been as long.

 

Let me put it to you this way...if we were on an HHS thread and someone said they felt HHS would run away from Holmes (which contrary to your belief, there are people outside of HHS that feel they will beat Holmes), I would have jumped in and said there is no way HHS runs away from Holmes. Because that's true. And it's also true that Holmes will not run away from HHS.

 

I said nothing by positive about Holmes in any post, other than the Taft score. And that had NOTHING to do with the success of the team or the girls. That had to do with what I (and many others) felt was a poor coaching decision. I would have said it about any team in the country...not just Holmes.

 

It's funny, you seem to have to defend Holmes' staff and philosophies all the time on here. Many other comments from other teams fans and I haven't said a word. I have been nothing but positive. I don't agree with the staff's philosophy of scoring when they are up, but to each their own. I could have commented MANY times and didn't. So to call me out as a Holmes hater is actually false. Go back and look.

Yep, tough matchup for SK. But that doesn't make one team better than the other. Heck, there's a tough match up for HHS in the 9th that's not even in the top 10 of NKY.

 

No one looks at HHS and is scared prior to playing them. They don't "wow" you in any way. They don't have a superstar, they don't look overly athletic (even though they are very athletic), they look fragile. I agree, they don't scare anyone. But then you play them and try to match up. Then and only then do you realize why they are good. I'm not going into why they are...but I can completely understand why you can look at them and say "they just don't scare me". Ask the coaches of the teams that have played them if they are any good. Even OC's coach would tell you.

 

I have no idea how the year will turn out, but I do know that HHS can play with any team in the 9th.
