January 7, 201511 yr Oh wow. Talk about someone one top of the world giving up for something dumb. Those guys know they get tested, why would you event tempt this?
January 7, 201511 yr But since he failed it before the fight they let him go ahead and fight as long as he was clean for the fight  I think he is getting help with his addiction and hopefully gets straight and back soon.
January 7, 201511 yr I'm going to tell you something that you might not know about me, Joe Rogan. I smoke rocks.
January 7, 201511 yr The test being weeks ahead of the fight .ufc takes no action .....money and greed win out.
January 11, 201511 yr But since he failed it before the fight they let him go ahead and fight as long as he was clean for the fight  I think he is getting help with his addiction and hopefully gets straight and back soon. Well, from what I heard, the testing of street drugs a month before the fight wasn't supposed to happen. So there is where White is hanging his hat, as well as saying that the test results were "A good thing", so now Jones can get help. I don't buy that! That is like the NFL accidently testing a player in May and it comes back positive, and then not punishing the person. Just like any other sport, it's all about the money. If I was in charge he would be suspended until further notice. If he ever was allowed to come back, he would be tested all of the time. Oh, And I would take his belt away too, as well as his earnings in the fight, use it to show all fighters that this is not what is expected of them.
January 15, 201511 yr The scary thing is, Jon Jones has been one of the most dominant champions of all time while being in the midst of a crippling cocaine addiction. Imagine what he could do if he were clean!

Imagine what he could do if he were clean! In the early stages of cocaine use, doesn't it cause your energy level and focus to increase? Would make sense if it does. I believe it is latter in usage where it starts to tear down the body.
January 15, 201511 yr Who really knows if he was an "addict" or if he just happened to have a really fun time in Brazil where it is readily available? Jones was in Brazil in last days of November and failed his test early days of December. Maybe he's not an addict but just an every now and again user? I'm sure he had to go to rehab either way to put on the front and spin the PR.
January 21, 201511 yr Rehab for 1 night; way to save face. Like I said, looking like he was caught partying and not exactly an addict. An athlete in that shape is definitely not your typical addict, impossible to perform at that high of level if so. Said three physicians at the clinic saw him and declared he only needed out patient care.

I have to think Dana White is TICKED OFF at him. I wonder if NIKE or any sponsors will flee?
January 21, 201511 yr RIGHT!!!!!! He was "only" doing it "one time", that is what they all say when they get caught. He didn't just decide to do this one or even two times. Athletes have to be help accountable, if you do this garbage, then you will pay the price. You can be assured that other UFC fighters are doing this stuff as well, and when they get caught, they will point to Jones and say "you didn't do anything to him" or "you gave him light penalties". Dana White needs to stop this and stop it now, and throw down a huge penalty to show that this will not be tolerated. And hey, I like Jones, picked him in the flight a few weeks ago as well, but it is what it is, and he needs to see a heavy punishment.

Chuck Liddel was one of the biggest coke heads the sport has ever seen and he is still one of the most prestigious champions of all time, even has a corporate job with UFC now.
