It was an odd turn of events. I thought he had a good shot at the Heisman but he just lost it and could not stop turning over the football after the third or fourth week of the season.
January 6, 201511 yr Everett Golson when he is playing well is really, really good. When he's not he can be just as equally bad. Notre Dame's season success or lack thereof was largely based upon how well he took care of the football. When he made good decisions and took care of the ball, they could play with just about anybody. (See @FSU) When he became turnover prone as he was towards the end of the season and early on in his career, the Irish lost games to teams that they never should have lost to. Personally I would like to see him finish out his time in South Bend, but if he chooses to leave, I wish him luck, but feel pretty good about what Zaire could do with the job full time. LSU would be a handfull with his passing ability, assuming he's throwing to the correct jersey color. I'd imagine Leonard Fornette (sp?) would keep the opposing team from dropping too many back in coverage.

January 7, 201511 yr It seems like every season. Les has a bad history of recruiting QB's. Metenberger was his only one that's ever been really any good. Russell was a Saban guy.
January 8, 201511 yr When was the last time LSU had a good QB (Not Mettenberger)? JaMarcus Russell? He was good in college but we all know how he turned out in the pros.
