Congrats to all the kids who are moving on to play Ball and get a college education. Hoping and praying that the kids of our area continue to get noticed and going forward receiving a little more scholarship help from the universities that will be benefiting from these kids efforts. Each class helps build that foundation. Congrats again.

I saw in the paper this morning that a Manual linebacker, Christopher ________, has received an appointment to West Point and will be playing football for Army.

Sheldon Goin 6'4" 205 lb Defensive End From Franklin County will walk on at WKU as well, Great kid hope he works hard and earns a spot.

Hope it works out as well but the statistics don't give these Walk-Ons much chance. I think about 1-2% of these kids keep with football after their sophomore year. Most find it too much work without any gain. Hope these kids are going to the school that they want and the football is secondary since the percentages bear out that they will not be playing football after their Sophomore year.
