Here's a quote I heard yesterday...

"All I know is that I don't expect a high major kid to be on a team that is losing by 27 points."

Have heard rumors of him going prep next year...getting the big kid from OC should help.

He's a lot like Spalding, though....high major athlete playing for a coach who isn't utilizing his skill set right.

Maybe the reason we don't expect to see this is because those type of kids normally leave for greener pastures. Wright hasn't, at least not yet.

This has happened before with a kid that I think we can all agree was an above average high school talent :) :

How Was Anthony Davis' High School BBall Team This Terrible?

You guys saw a lot more than I did but I doubt a lot of boys averaged better than 20 and 8.5 boards like Bo Schuh did.

Exactly. Thats why the thread title is ambiguous. The initial post attached to the title is really just his observations about selected players not the top performers in the tourney. Like I said in my post if you are talking about the top performers then Schuh, Ramser and Hawes should replace Elkins, Thieneman and Levitch on his list.

Schuh played great. I'm still mad that he was given a cheap fifth foul. That was one of the worst referee blunders of the tourney.

I think the confusion in a thread like this comes from...are we talking best high school player we saw in the event or are we talking best college prospect we saw?

No question....as to tourney performance.

And Dwayne Sutton could have been slotted in the 1 spot! Not a single player in the tournament I would take over him. I don't think many people in attendance would disagree.

Those are simply numbers and that's not a knock on Schuh. Colton Elkins likely didn't have any of the numbers that those other players on my list had but his presence on the court goes beyond numbers. I also think he outplayed Schuh on both ends when they went head to head.

I based my list on the players I saw play and how they performed when I watched them.

6 points and 3 boards against CCH. What am I missing?

The blocked shots and the many shots he affects every game.

I think he had 6, 6, 6 in that game didn't he?

I can't remember his numbers but anyone who has watched Boyle County play this year can recognize that the team is a completely different team when he is on the court. What he does defensively is unmeasurable.

So defensively he was very good.

Yes. Whole different team when he is on the court. I can't stress enough how I am amazed at how he manages to stay out of foul trouble while blocking and affecting shots the way he does. Teams literally will quit shooting inside the paint because of him.
