Have been told as good as he is at basketball, baseball might actually be his better sport. Scary.

He's a really good baseball player. Started varsity as a freshman and got some playing time as an 8th grader. I've always thought he might have a higher upside in baseball, as his size has limited him a little on the court (although he was still very very good). Now that he is growing some, I'm not so sure. If he ends up as tall as his older brother (who's around 6' 3"), I could see him playing basketball at the next level. He is as pure a shooter as I have ever seen.

Chad will play baseball for Scott. He's also playing on Scott's frosh team for basketball.

Congrats to Jake for breaking the scoring record as a sophomore.

What is his season scoring avg? anyone know?

Chad played on the freshman baseball team last year as a 7th grader. Unless something crazy happens, I would expect Chad will play mostly freshman baseball this year as well.

Hearing Ohmer is starting to hear from some big name schools.. Xavier, NKU, Winthrop, Wake Forest, St.Bonaventure. Surely there will be more added to that list in the near future.

Define "hearing from."

NKU wouldn't be a big surprise. Coach Bezold has known Jake since he was in diapers. I still think he needs to grow some more before "hearing from" becomes something more.

He also has a connection through ex-AAU coach and family friend Brian Johnson with Xavier. Brian Johnson played at X after graduating from Holy Cross.

So you are saying a coach from X has been in touch?

I've been told no X coach has made contact with him...

Final from Lloyd.

Ohmer put up 51. I will assume that is a Scott record.

Did anyone guard him?

Watched him again last night, albeit not a 51 point performance. Reminds me of Brandon Hatton in a lot of ways

I was thinking the same thing.
