Beau Hoge made Dilfers Dimes with one of his TDs against Owensboro in the Title Game. I looked up and saw it on there. He's like my man Beau Hoge smoked this pass into the receivers hands. Well theres my annual Highlands post . See ya Next Year... Or not.

Just saw it...pretty cool. Obviously being Merril's son has a lot to do with it being on TV but that throw was very impressive. He rolled out left. Turned and threw a bullet about 40-50 yards in the air to the other side of the field for the TD and hit the receiver right on the numbers...it was 4th down too if I am not mistaken.

Can someone post the video. I cannot find it anywhere.

The pass covered 62 yds...and a laser at that...:thumb:

As good as Gino and Jared were I never saw them throw one like this...not saying they couldnt have but never saw it and I saw all their throws...

It is a big time throw at all levels...

At what point in the game was this play?

Late third quarter - Birds were down 14 at the time.

I thought the best throw he made was when HHS was across midfield, not quite to the red zone, and moving towards the scoreboard. Hoge rolled left towards the Owensboro sideline, was around the numbers somewhere and he stopped and threw back across the field diagonally to the opposite corner of the field. It was a fantastic throw and all the guys I was with just looked at each other slack-jawed. I'd like to see that one again.

Same play.

Same play.

OK, Gotcha. It was quite the throw and not too many QB's could make it.

You can see the play on Beau's highlight video on HUDL from the state championship game. Very poor camera angle though, you don't actually get to see the receiver catch it.

Here is the play (the whole game actually) on KHSAA TV channel on youtube

Skip forward to the 2:33:30 mark of the video to watch this play.

The clock was at 4:50 in the 3rd qtr. Owensboro leading 42-28.

Really nice throw.

You are not mistaken. 4th & 8 at a critical juncture of the game.

When you have kids that work hard, make plays and dedicate themselves to the traditions of Highlands, that's how you get 20+ and counting championships.
