I'd have Holy Cross and Grant.Co a little higher. I'd have Scott,Dixie, and Ryle a little lower.

Scott is 3-0 they should higher.

I would take Scott over Cooper any day. Scott always seems to play well against Cooper. As for being better than Campbell, I don't think so quite yet. Jake Ohmer is carrying his team on his back right now. Other players will have to step up and start contributing for me to believe they are better than Campbell. It's still early. I'm anxious to see this Scott team progress.

Based on what? Certainly not how they've done this season, right? Calvary? Pendleton? Dunbar with 7 players out?

Didn't understand how Ryle was ranked in some of the other early pre-season polls, and still don't get them in this poll.

1-2 with a win over Ludlow. I know they are down there at 10, but some of the others receiving votes deserve to be above Ryle.

Grant beat Ryle by 27 but Ryle is ranked ahead of them. How's that possible? These rankings mean nothing.

I am guessing that some coaches simply do not consider Grant County when voting. That's the only way you can vote Ryle over them considering they beat Ryle by 25 or so.

Not just basing it off this season but from the past as well. When Cooper and Scott play it's always a good game. Last year for example Cooper outmatched and was clearly better than Scott yet it came down to the wire. Coach Carr and Coach Sullivan know each other very well and always have their respective teams ready to play. My opinion.

The past? Good lord.

Grant would be the obvious choice to jump Ryle, but I would put Newport, Simon, Holy Cross, Boone and dare I say even Highlands above the Raiders at this point

The past might not have been the right words. I'm just saying this has been a good match up and don't think this year would be any different. Ill be looking forward to the McNeil and Ohmer match up.

It's the first week. 1-3 are spot on IMO. other than that, I don't think it's very accurate.

Guess we will all find out the last game of the season but I still don't understand the logic of Scott ranked over Cooper not that I really care one bit as these rankings mean nothing. Keeping games close is all well and good but in the end you've got to win. Cooper battled NCC to within 1pt going into the 4th qtr but still lost, doesn't mean much except they learned from it and should be competitive in the 9th.

If Scott beats a good Mason Co. team this week I could see some of your logic, just not right now beating Calvary, Pendelton, and a close one with Dunbar. Scott is always hard nosed like Carr and I suspect this team is no different and will battle everyone they face.

I would agree that these rankings in all reality don't mean much BUT they spark a lot of conversation like this on here and honestly that is best part of them.

With only 8 coaches doing the rankings you truly don't get a total consensus what everyone is thinking and even if you did, things change so much.

Too many of the teams are still in flux. I'm going to take a screen shot of these rankings and repost at the end of the season. Something tells me there will be a lot of change from top to bottom.
