BB kept it closer than I thought.

Game started out slow and was close after 1st quarter. St Henry then took off in the 2nd quarter. They were up big at the start of the 4th and Bishop cut it to 7 a couple of times. St Henry made most all there free throws to close it out.

Brossart will go through some growing pains early on. Expect them to be much improved by season's end.

Good to get the W in varsity action tonight. Zai led Brossart with probably 15 and Goetz led St.Henry in scoring with close to 20.

Close game early thru the 1st qtr with a lot of early season jitters. Kunstek with 2 early fouls and doesn't play but 3 min in the first half.

St.Henry comes out strong in the second half and goes up by 20 something and look to be cruising. I kinda stop paying attention and start yacking with people and eating toffee. Crusaders decide to follow my lead. Brossart goes to a zone and Crusaders decide to take some terrible shots and lets Brossart back in the game. Probably cut the lead down to 6 late in the game.

Overall, Crusaders finally get off to a win in the start of the season vs. Brossart. Brossart plays their typical game. Physical defense, smart passing, run their sets. They will take some lumps, but will be competitive in most games and win their fair share. They do things the right way.

Freshman....St.Henry won. JV....Brossart won.
