Sparks always has 4 good games a year, look it up. If uk played in the Big East or if they didnt get Morris, one of the "unfaxables" they would have a losing record!

Facts:

UK beat UL by double digits (without Morris I believe)

UK played a tougher non conference schedule

UL was in a tougher conference (nobody can argue that)

I don't believe that UK would have had a losing record and there is no way of knowing what would have happened if their situations and schedules were reversed.

Wow thats a big thing for Miller and the town of Middlesboro...Congrats to him and his Family.

How could he play at MBoro but live across the state line?

Happens often in that neck of the woods. Bell doesnt get too many from Tennessee, though they may have had 1 or 2 athletes in the last couple years in football and basketball.

Middlesboro however, usually has about 2 basketball players from Tennessee and a few football players. The kids just have to pay tuition to be able to come to school across the state line. As I understand the schools just across the line arent that great, so they come over to KY for a little better school as well as more competitive athletics, especially football.

Happens all over, not just in L'ville or Belfry as many would have us believe. I don't think Bell gets hardly any of those. But M'boro does get them in football, basketball, soccer, etc. Sometimes there are kids closer to a school in another state then their own. These kids are just on the other side of the 'chunnel' from KY in Tenn on the southside of M'boro. I know of ex professors from LMU who hated their school system and have sent their kids to school at either M'boro or Bell County who had better school systems in general then the schools in TN. I think Harragot and New Taswell are just across the border.

Don't worry, Miller didn't transfer. He started 9th grade at Mboro and stayed there. His Mom and Dad both grew up and attended school in Mboro, as did his siblings who didn't play sports.

BTW, a kid who lives in Gibson Station VA is almost 35 miles closer to Mboro than to Lee Co HS. There are kids who live in Whitley Co. but attend Bell because they can't get to Williamsburg without going through Pineville.

Thanks for the info, I was aware of the Belfry/Williamson situation, and I know some kids in Cincy have recently attended Holy Cross and I'm sure a few cross brides in other areas of the North.

Please refresh my memory. How many Big East teams are in the Final Four right now? Thank you.
