Another question bout the teams they played. Were any of the ranked throughout the season in the top 5 in any of there classes? Other than Marshall, Fulton, Fulton County we played rough Ranked teams that made a decent playoff run for there schools. Not trying to sleep on williamsburg at all. I'm just tryna get a comparison to what we've faced this year.

 

Newport, Raceland, and Hazard were all decent teams Burg played. I think most expected Wayne to be better than they were.

Yeah that's what I'm wondering...other then Russellville our district is really weak. That's why we play a tougher no district schedule.

Newport and Wayne were suppose to be the bug no district games, they did play a 5a team from Knoxville but I have no idea how those guys did after burg game to open the year. Wayne County was a let down, South Laurel was a joke especially for a big school, Pineville was an ok east ky 1a team, pike Central was probably a tad better than their record.

The Newport win is the only one I'd consider being a reasonable win but I just think nothing could have prepped them like we've been prepped for this moment. I feel like maybe I'm being a little too confident.

I just don't see a scenario other then mayfield making a ton of mistakes, were they lose this game. I just dont want to be arrogant about it. That's just the only way they could lose

Even if WB is healthy, I still don't see them putting up much of a fight. I expect the game to be over midway through the 3rd quarter or earlier. If WB scores it will be in garbage time. I hope that I get my money's worth, but I the end I don't think I will.

Also, when it comes down to it.. I don't see how WB will be able to keep up with the athletes of Mayfield. WB may have the size advantage up front, but Mayfields DL is very quick and strong. In all areas of the gave I have to give the edge to Mayfield. The Cards Dynasty Rolls On!

I agree, I was told this years Williamsburg team was better and I just don't see that they are really. They are big up front but as usual very slow and I don't see any player on the team that is a "Wow" factor kind of player to me. Mayfield may not be able to get a running clock on this team this year but I do forsee some scoring going on.
