The elf has now lost it's magic. :lol2: I came dangerously close to ruining Christmas for my 6 year old niece two years ago (when she was 4) by touching 'Elfie'. I had no idea. She saw me and was terrified.

December 3, 201411 yr Author ^I have seen a couple recent articles on facebook about parents who stopped doing the elf thing because it was too stressful to keep up and/or the kids were really freaked out about it.

December 3, 201411 yr Hide the pickle? It's an ornament that looks like a pickle. You hide it on the tree somewhere and whichever child finds the pickle, they get an extra gift. I thought it was an old German thing but my research now tells me it's not.
