November 26, 201411 yr I just started using one this past Summer and love it. Attached is the model I use and it has a built in humidifier. My mouth piece covers my nose and mouth as I am a mouth breather when I sleep. I highly recommend it for people that have Sleep Apnea. You can DIE from this people...see Reggie White. I have the same machine - Bi-pap. I only use the nasal pillow though, not the whole mask. I have had mine about 2 1/2 years. My insurance covers all my hoses, masks, every 90 days. But I have gone a year without replacing them. My velcro on my headband is what wears out the fastest. I have had to go three times for the sleep study. I hated it. They have all kinds of wires hooked to you and every time I moved, one would come undone and the alarm would go off waking me up. I couldn't live without mine now though.
November 26, 201411 yr Mr. cat had to switch masks early on because the one they gave him had a strap that went over his head. It was matting down his hair and causing a line to form across it. Now he has one similar to Q's pic.
November 26, 201411 yr Nasal Pillows? What is that. A friend of mine says he go the mask that only covers his nose. How many different kinds of masks are there. I think there are a handful of options for the mask, I feel that the nasal pillows are the best. Much less cumbersome then the full mask and the straps are much smaller.

November 29, 201411 yr By the way the mask is a real turn on for the ladies.....not. lol It scares the devil out of my granddaughter, too. Her brother thinks it's neat.

Can't do the pillows. I could never get them to stay put, fighting with them all night. The full face works better for me.

That's the exact same one that I have. It works great. I am overweight but I also have a deviated septum and I won't have surgery. I've had the apnea however, no matter what my weight due to my septum. I feel so much better since I got the CPAP.
December 1, 201411 yr I had CPAP machine about 10 years ago and I am somewhat claustrophobic. I had no problem falling asleep but when I'd wake up I'd freak out and fake it off. I recently was re tested because my sleep is horrible and I am going to try it again. Did anyone else have a problem like this and if so, how did you get past it?
December 9, 201411 yr I have used one for about 3 months and haven't felt this good in years. Sleep study found I woke up 45 times a minute, so no wonder I was tired all the time. I adjusted to the machine quickly, but given that the alternative was a long, drawn out and ultimately debilitating death....I figured it was a better option. Much more energy and alterness in the afternoon now. Highly recommend
