No Indictment in Ferguson Case

Featured Replies

We'll never know. The system protected Wilson the way the system always does. You know how OJ Simpson was acquitted? There were 2 white jurors and 1 white alternate. Out of 14 people who would or could have a say in OJ Simpson's case 11 of them were minorities. Ferguson is 68% black yet 9 out of the 12 people on the Grand Jury were white. Miss me with all that evidence crap and facts crap. Between a whitewash on the jury(in a predominately black town) and a prosecutor with ulterior motives there was no way this case was going to trial and that is why blacks do not trust the system.

PP you seem to always see things through that prism. Everything is just another case of the system trying to keep a minority down. I'm disappointed in you. You are smarter than that.

Looks like she told them to ignore the first sheet completely and use the one she had just passed out. She stated the first sheet was correct but had something in it that was wrong so "ignore it totally" Not sure where the confusion is unless you are just grasping for straws because you don't agree with the decision. No way if I'm on the jury I'm confused by that.

Again, it was SO clear they had to ask if the federal laws override the state laws.

It obviously wasn't clear.

Sure I answered your question. I guess you just don't understand it.

Evidence would be that a driver was clocked at 62 MPH. Now what?

The grand jury was selected out of the entire county if I'm not mistaken and it was selected before this shooting.

Should they have changed that up to get a indictment?

The system is the system' date=' doesn't matter which race you are. Just because you perceive it one way doesn't make that perception correct. I deal with plenty of whites, Hispanics, etc. that claim the system is against them too. And yes, Mr. Brown attacked Officer Wilson according to the EVIDENCE. Physical evidence supports this.[/quote']

Your last sentence tells me you do not have a firm grasp of the case. No one disputes that v

Phhtttt..... The only person I worry about disappointing is my father and his thoughts are exactly like mine. Maybe one day when you're black you'll understand. Oh...wait........

Long story short:

I could give a rat's behind if you're disappointed in me.

The grand jury was selected out of the entire county if I'm not mistaken and it was selected before this shooting.

Should have been 6 blacks and 6 whites but that would go against the system now wouldn't it?

What if the county isn't divided 50/50?

And like I said if it was picked before the shooting should they have changed it?

Are you saying the 9 white people on the grand jury couldn't possibly be fair and impartial?

The county isn't divided 50/50. It's 68% black. And those blacks have had issues with the police and the system for quite some time now.

Yes. At some times in our world we need to exercise some common sense. 4 out of 5 whites side with Darren Wilson and 4 out of 5 blacks side with Michael Brown.

Hell nah 9 white people on the grand jury in a predominately black town can't be impartial. What world are you living in? They won't be any more impartial than the 10 blacks who acquitted OJ.

You sure St.Louis county is 68% black? I googled it and my search days the county is 70% white.

The grand jury isn't selected from the city as far as I know. It's picked from the county and changing it after the fact is downright wrong. Why should Darren Wilson be treated any different than anyone else?

Anyone who looks at the facts of this case and says Darren Wilson is guilty of anything hasn't actually looked at any evidence or testimony.

The difference between white people and black people:

Black people believe that just about every instance that goes against them is a racist action and black people see almost every incident as a racist incident whether it is racist or not.

White people only see racism if racial epithets are used or when it is totally blatant racism. If it isn't blatant it isn't racist is the mindset of white people.

Life goes on.......

The county (St. Louis county, MO) according to 2010 census is 70% white and 23% black. It looks to be a good makeup of the county. The grand jury has been seated since April, before the shooting even occurred.

Maybe they can change laws to have only all white juries when the accused is white and vice versa? Something to think about.

So anyone who hasn't been to law school is wrong? I keep getting that impression from you, maybe it's not the right impression.

No, was just trying to say that most anyone who has been will say the same kinds of things I've said about how the evidence was presented.

Kind of apples and oranges to a grand jury investigation, but I've read about mistrials for less in other cases.

Giving the jury something tangible that they can touch like that in and of itself alone is kind of a big deal. To have given them a misstatement of law is a HUGE deal.

I think if it happened and it was a case where someone guilty of something heinous got off, people would rightfully be upset.

I don't think it says anything about Wilson's guilt or innocence, just that the process wasn't performed correctly and it was kind of a huge error that just shouldn't have happened in a case that high profile.

As of the 2010 census,[3] there were 21,203 people, 8,192 households, and 5,500 families residing in the city. The population density was 3,425.4 inhabitants per square mile (1,322.6/km2). There were 9,105 housing units at an average density of 1,470.9 per square mile (567.9/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 67.4% African American, 29.3% White, 0.5% Asian, 0.4% Native American, 0.4% from other races, and 2.0% from two or more races. Hispanic and Latino of any race were 1.2% of the population.

There were 8,192 households of which 39.1% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 29.6% were married couples living together, 31.5% had a female householder with no husband present, 6.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 32.9% were non-families. 28.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.4% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.56 and the average family size was 3.12.

The median age in the city was 33.1 years. 28.7% of residents were under the age of 18; 10.4% were between the ages of 18 and 24; 25.2% were from 25 to 44; 25.3% were from 45 to 64; and 10.3% were 65 years of age or older. The gender makeup of the city was 44.8% male and 55.2% female.

What are the facts of the case and who says they are the 'facts' of the case? Why do I 'have' to take the prosecutor's version of the 'facts' when the prosecutor is misleading the grand jury and nobody cares about that?

Where are you getting your info from? My info says that White Flight took place in Ferguson and that it is 67.4% black.
