I am thinking of making the trip to Raceland to see this one. Never been to Raceland. I have seen both of these teams on film and this game to me seems to be pretty close one.

O.K., Lets see, first of all as best I can remember I only read the Raceland fans giving W-Burg credit and praise after last years semi final game. I know that's what I did and I fogot the name now but there was some W-Burg bell ringer on here then popping off even when no one was arguing with him. As a matter of fact I remember them poping off to Mayfield fans and I think we know how that turned out, uh :lol2:? Not a lot a person can do with someone like that.

As for this thread, about all I gather from your most insightful post are that you are trolling for an argument but like the one last season, no one wants to waste their time. I get it that you believe that W-Burg will win. That's fine, I don't have a problem with your opinion. That (who wins?) was the original thread question.

People on this tread aren't arguing with you at all. What I have seen is some pointing out some obvious charactaristics of some and their beliefs on the game. I don't understand why, if you are trying to provoke something but I guess that's you. :idunno:. At any rate, I have read enough of your "baiting" to know that it's really kinda obvious......

 

Now, your Williamsburg team obviously has a very, very good team and from what I gather quite a lot better than last season. Congrats on that and you should be proud. As for anything else ......not really worth my time. :walk:

 

Not from Williamsburg. I've never seen one of their games but I will be rooting for them this week. There was some discussion in a thread last week that Raceland was outcoached last year and that they had the better team. That is an excuse. I didn't come here looking for trouble. I thought you guys would like to hear input from a Highlands fan since a Raceland fan likes to give input and question Highlands coaching staff even though they didn't see the game.

That could be several people. Don't know any 3 or 4 handed people from Raceland.

I think Williamsburg's ability to stop the run is going to be the key to this game. The defensive speed of Williamsburg is what killed Raceland's game plan last year, The rams just couldn't get it going on the ground and Williamsburg returns the whole defensive team. I see a lot of criticism about williamsburgs pass D but what people fail to understand is the defensive alignment Williamsburg showed last week was specifically to stop hazards run ( Brandon Jones- a very good back) not defend the short quick pass. Normally Williamsburg doesn't play their 165lb free safeties at tackle to shoot a run gap and hold contain but to stop the running of Jones, coaches made that change and it worked.

I Know how dang good that Williamsburg is, no doubt about it but I can't pick against Raceland. This team lost an entire O and D line, a couple of recievers / running back and a three years starter at qb along with a head coach. What did they do ? They came out, bought in to how coach Salmons (the long time asst. that wasn't looking at another job - Wanted to be at Raceland) was doing things, regrouped and are bonded together more than ever.

Williamsburg has a Great football team. Raceland, in a lot of peoples opinion shouldn't be close in this one. Having said that ......

I think Williamsburg's ability to stop the run is going to be the key to this game. Would love to but no, I don't have any HC Transport plus having to stay overnight, getting a HC accessible room as well as making the trip would be difficult.

That was Christian. At that point in the year, Christian was playing very well. I also think that has carried over to this year.

How is Raceland health wise going into this game? I know Williamsburg lost 1 good linebacker before the hazard game (Dalton Shackleford)
