LaSalle (OH) 38 Mount Healthy (OH) 6

They set a record for most TD passes in a championship game. Their DC is one heck of a coach and one very funny man.

Correction 55-20

I believe the previous Ohio Division II record for most points in the State Final game was 50. La Salle gets their first playoff win this year capped with a State Championship. The move to Division II was smart. They will be a DII power for many years. Next years team has the potential to be better than this years squad. The irony in them playing in DII is that they may have had the team this year and potentially next year to win DI State Championships. LANCERS ROLL DEEP!

They beat Div I Moeller and Colerain. Lost to Cincy St X by 3. Seems like they could contend in Div 1 Also.

LaSalle is as good as any team in the state. They are built just like their bigger peers in the GCL, but benefit from slightly lower enrollment due to location. IMO they have 2rbs and a qb that in combo make up the best backfield I have seen. My Healthy was the only team that could come close to matching up with them, and they got trucked. I was at the champ game, it was man vs boy from opening kick.

They are teetering between D1 and D2 in terms of enrollment. I read they were only 2 students away from D1 at last count. I wish they were in D1 this year to see how they would have done. Nordonia wishes that too...

On Yappi, one of the Nordonia guys was so shocked and distressed that he started a thread about drug testing HS athletes - implying that Lasalle must be taking roids to be so good. The Nordonia fans are in complete shock. THey had been pounding inferior teams all year and thought they would easily beat Lasalle - and then got crushed - having a hard time dealing with it.

Congrats to LaSalle and especially Colton "Silky" Keairns on the title. Silky moved from Hebron after his 8th grade year to attend LaSalle and started for them on the d line as a sophomore. He will be healthy for this wrestling season and the expectations are high.

Could've been a Cougar? Darn.

Yep would have started as a freshman.

They also whipped Elder in The Pit.
