I wasn't at the first game but that is the best I have seen Reese Ryan look. He was throwing darts out there and I felt like Boyle did a great job not letting Jones get loose running the ball but couldn't stop Reese from throwing it all over the field. He looked really good out there. I was kind of hoping we would score at the very end of the 4th quarter because I felt like Reese could score easily throwing the ball. LC running the ball trying to chew clock almost played right into Boyle's hands.

 

Good luck next week. It could be another shootout.

 

I don't know why we decided to run clock with 10 minutes to go in the game, nearly cost them the game IMO.

 

Normally with a back as good as Jaylen Jones the Wildcat is a good formation but I would not take the ball out of the hands of one of the best QBs in the State.

I knew Josiah Robbins was a great athlete but I had no idea how good of a passer he was until tonight. He had a deep ball in the 2nd quarter that was one of the most perfect throws I've ever seen. He's going to be a terror next year.

I can't believe how wide open the WR(was it Hinkle?) was on Boyle's final play. Now that I am home and warm I can talk about it. :lol2:

 

Robbins legs kept that play alive. 4th and 2 and it looked like the entire LC defense was close to tackling him. He managed to get away and buy him some time to make the throw. The WR was so wide open he could have walked into the end zone. The only thing I can think of is that Josey overcompensated on the throw after running a country mile to make sure it got to the WR and overthrew him. I can't imagine how he is feeling right now and I feel awful for him as he had a great night throwing the ball and the team played well enough to win. Despite all of that I am sure he'll replay that play in his head for a while.

 

Josey, keep your head up, kiddo. You and the Rebels played a spectacular game and you have nothing to be ashamed of. It's easy for me to say leave it on the field but I'm going to say it anyways. Leave it on the field and come back stronger next season.

 

I was definitely proud of all the Rebels tonight. They came a long way from the beginning of the season and gave me a lot of memories tonight. Jase Sharp was catching everything thrown his way. Zach Leigh had an excellent touchdown reception. Keagan Hinkle had a beautiful reception that set up a Boyle TD from the 1 yard line. Eric Brown had a great all around game, Nick Roney had some great receptions and the Boyle OLine gave Josey a lot of time to throw darts all over the field. The defense bottled up Jones all night and despite some troubles defending the pass they never quit and made LC earn every yard they got tonight.

 

As always I am proud of you guys and I am proud to be a Rebel.

Of course it feels good but I'd love to know why you trashed LC two weeks ago? You said this was the weakest team you've ever seen @ LexCath but yet we were the only team to beat Boyle County. You ranked Catholic low every week despite playing a tougher schedule than most in 4A, and they won the head to head battle against Boyle. So yes it feels good but you know you were flat out wrong on your statement. Go ahead and admit it.

Robbins fundaments are pretty good in this picture and my guess is that this pass was completed.
