The IT factor would be; having the ability to go from the wing-T offense to spread offense and drive 80 yards in 1:39, completing a 30 yard pass after being flushed out of the pocket to a teammate you have played football with since 6th grade, and who happen to be the 2 best players on the team, for the win against Bryan Station.

Ok, ed, when you come on down to the game and your sitting on the Meade County side, do the math and let me know the size of the crowd.

If that is your criteria for the "IT" factor for a team, then both Meade and Central have it.

Both of these teams have the "IT" factor. Just look at the way Meade beat Henry Clay and Scott County as well as how Central Hardin beat Bryan Station. Bottom line is that these are two great teams that will play a very close game on Friday and it will be fun to watch.

Yea, I would say that Meade has just as much of "it" if not more than Central after stopping HC on a 1st and 1 from the 1, to win the first round. And then stopping Scott county on a 4th and short to win the 2nd round. I'll take a defensive "it" factor over an offensive one any day!

Wow, what a surprise, MEAN GREEN MACHINE picks Meade County. Your gonna need a little more O on Friday. I do know one thing about this game, Central will have a huge crowd. Meade County is healthy, Central is finally healthy and hungry for respect. Play ball.

 

I'm going with the team I think will win. Your offense is too one dimensional. Stop the QB run/pass option, and you have stopped the scoring potential. The wave did that the last time -- they just needed a little more offense, which is coming around.

 

I'm taking nothing away from Central though. They have monsters on that defensive line! I was very impressed.

 

But once again, I think the waves have gotten a little more offensive production here lately -- maybe due to the colder weather and them being a running team. There's my take.

Well I would hope that the HOME team would have more fans at the game than the visitors. I wasn't saying that Meade would have a bigger crowd, but that they will also have a very large and loud crowd.

Both teams seem to have improved considerably since the first game and definitely got some key players healthy. Frankly, this one boils down to which one of the QB's get the last chance to make a play. Both of those kids are amazing players and worthy of being region champs. I'm gonna say CH 20 Meade 14,and any way it goes I'll be pulling for the winner of this game the rest of the way.

I truly am satisfied that Meade and Central were able to overcome the Lexington 6A school bias of strength of schedule and quality wins vs my perspective of importance of defense in setting the aggressive tone of the game. I respect the winning culture that Mofield has established at Meade County and see that culture being established at Central.

I gotta take Meade on this game....21-17....But then again I'm being biased because I graduated from there...

I was sure wrong about these two teams. I thought they both were over rated. I did not expect to see either one of them in this game but here they are. Congrats on making it to this game and good luck. Based on the first game between these two, it should be a great game to watch.

This thread should have been labeled the "It factor", but it ended up being the "crap factor".

I think either of these teams could win it all.

Meade County's defense has gotten it done time and time again this season. They have proved to me that they are as good as any unit in the entire state of Kentucky. I admit i dont know a whole lot about CH but i do know the first matchup with these two could have gone either way(15-14 in overtime). I believe this one could go either way as well. I know the Wilson kid from Meade is playing out of his mind right now. Throw in the way the defense stood up at the end of their last two games and you have to be impressed. I like Meade to find a way. 21-14 Waves.

I really don't know much about either team other than both have had great seasons. After seeing what Meade did last year getting to State (and should have won), there is no reason to believe either can't move all the way to BG.
