He's a very patient runner, and he reads his blocks really well. The receivers do a tremendous job blocking for him. He's also a very smart runner as he avoids the pounding whenever possible. He'll go out of bounds or go down to avoid the contact. He's fun to watch.

Dixie has an all around great team...it's not just Drew Moore which they need a player like him to win state but they are all hungry. Both sides of the ball. This is the most excited i think i've ever been for a team including college and pro. This is Dixie's year. One game at a time.

The 04 team lost in the mud to a good Boone co team as time expired. They were as good as this. That's the year we beat Trinity at home to snap their ten year win streak. We were picked to be in the state final that year too.

I agree with you that they can't get too cocky, I'm just excited because I've seen them play in person all season and they are the real deal. They can't relax on Simon Kenton just because they dominated them last game. I was impressed with Logan Winkler. But if you're a dixie fan, how can you not feel excited for this team?

Should've been 4/5 for about 100 as a receiver dropped a wide open pass, and he should've had around 25-30 yards receiving, if not a 60 yard TD had he not bobbled a pass that turned into an INT. He had one heck of a night. He takes what the defense gives him and doesn't force anything.

Congratulations to the Dixie Heights Colonels on the victory. A big tip of the cap to Dixies coaching staff who continue to get these boys ready to win, week-in week-out. The offensive and defensive lines continue to gain invaluable experience and grow. They are certainly the unsung heroes of this teams success.

 

This a very good group of student/athletes who continue to improve each week. Thankfully I believe all players escaped injury free last night. It's important to recognize the Ryle Coaching staff and their seniors. Congrats on "righting the Raider ship" this season and getting Ryle back on a good foot! :thumb:

Yes, the 2004 Dixie football team was a great team. I hope Dixie stays focused on the SK game and this game alone.
