Carson's 26 ppg? That's what you base that on? Product of that system...shot 24% from the three and he will see much better defense in the 11th. Enjoy your kool aid.

There were only 2 players in the 11th region on this list from last year. 2 teams on this list in the 11th region from last year. With Carson and his team being on this list and him coming to the 11th region, how could he not be one of the top players in the district and region? Now he's with a team with more support than he had at EJ. That's all Im saying.

You are basing your opinion on ppg. More to it than that. First, he is going to play against people as quick, big and strong as him. Not as much depth in the 12th as in the 11th (no knock on the 12th). EJ presses the whole game so he was allowed to play with lots of freedom that he won't have at Bryan Station or in the 11th. Take into context what you are trying to sell...he will have to make more jump shots this year. Only shot 24% from the 3...enough said there...and all this hinges if he will study. Wish him well but don't come with ppg as your strongest argument especially when he upgrades in district and regional play.

I'm not sure why Hickory seems to be on a rampage against Ronnie, but Ronnie is a great player. He was a volume scorer at East because there wasn't much talent with him. On top of that, the 12th as a whole is better than the 11th (yes I said it).

Well I'm glad you said it but the last time I checked the 12th has lost in the first round of the state tournament the last 2 years while the 11th has been in the finals. But hey when 5-6 kids from the 12th region play in your program I'm sure there is some bias there. You can say the 12th is better top to bottom or whatever but you really don't believe that. Bryan Station has a scrimmage today against Harrison Co. Varsity at 5:30 JV at 6:30 FR at 7:30

Well I'm glad you said it but the last time I checked the 12th has lost in the first round of the state tournament the last 2 years while the 11th has been in the finals. But hey when 5-6 kids from the 12th region play in your program I'm sure there is some bias there. You can say the 12th is better top to bottom or whatever but you really don't believe that. I have bias and will admit it. I think the 12th was better than the 11th from top to bottom last year and will be again this year. The best teams from the 12th had tremendous success against many 11th Region teams last season and there will be plenty of 11th vs 12th matchups again this season as well for that point to be proven again.

 

I'll also add that Hoop Dreams has a large majority of kids from the 11th and 12th Region playing for them in the program. I would think the bias from Hoop Dreams would go both ways.

I will say this much. Lincoln, Wayne, Boyle, Southwestern, and Mercer are all good successful programs with high talent levels. Teams that could compete to win the 11th the last 2 seasons. However if you put Scott County, Henry Clay, Bryan Station, Lexington Catholic, LCA, Lafayette, Dunbar and Madison Central in the 12th they all would be towards the top of the region. Not saying the 12th isn't good or doesn't have quality teams I just believe the 11th has more. After the 5 teams I listed from the 12th there is a drop off. I just listed 8 that could win the 12th this season. Agree to disagree I suppose.

First of all, Ronnie Carson is talented enough to make a significant impact in the 12th, 11th, 6th, 9th, whatever region he plays in - by being a top player. I've watched him for years in both school ball and against the elite. As has always been the case, Carson's issue is his attitude. It hurts him and, if allowed, can hurt the team he plays for.

 

As for 11th vs 12th regions, I think the 12th was deeper last year; the 11th is this year. However, this year, I think the top five teams in the 12th may be a tad stronger than their counterparts in the 11th. Either way, both are strong.

 

A final point - Wayne has struggled at state the last couple of years. It seems they do fine against the good mountain teams but may have more difficulty against more athletic teams. If I'm right, that should play out in the regional tourney this year because Boyle and Mercer are 2 long and athletic teams.

I said last year and with the exception of Scott County 12th Region teams defeated all of those teams you mentioned last year.
