I think both teams sound like they were at fault and Ashland wearing different numbers is very bush league unless there was a good reason to such as their uniforms got lost etc. It sounds like to me the Homes Coach got a little heated and could be very well understandable if there were cheap shots going on after the plays etc. but he needs to handle it better. As far as Ashland, sounds like they may be a pretty dirty team and when you go so low as tactics of changing jersey's etc., well I don't feel bad for them at all.

 

Baker wore 9 because 5 was lost/stolen. He was the only one. He will be 5 at Highlands. OBryan will be 32 at Highlands not his usual 2 becuase the jersey shrunk. I hope this dispels the bait and switch rumors.

So without watching the game or seeing video you say it sounds like they are a pretty dirty team?

And as someone else mentioned, if Holmes couldn't figure our which one was Baker, well possibly after a few if his runs they would figure it out?

Dirty as in wearing different jersey numbers, maybe a bad choice of words. Bush league is more like it if that was the case and without telling the other team. If it was only 1 player then that is understandable as I stated in my original post, if the jersey's were missing etc. If it was only 1 why didn't Ashland inform Holmes before the game, or did they?

I think it was already posted that Baker wore a different number the last two games of the season because his jersey was stolen, so nothing dirty about that. sounds like Holmes needs to watch some film and they would have known who Baker was. I have pics of the incident but did not want to post them but they show a pretty telling picture of the incident. Sounds like Holmes just frustrated at the end of a very long season and judgment got the best of them. I will say this it is hard to be a big underdog and go play a team like Ashland on a long bus ride and then feel like you are getting no Love from the officials but remember officials are from different areas in the playoffs and it is not like it was home town officials.

This want the first game Baker wore 9. It should have been easily identifiable on film.

The teams still go out at the 50 for the coin toss right? The HC is out there with the captains, I would think that would of been a perfect time to say something, but that's just me using common sense again.

If Ashland denied access to the video of the last few home games in which Baker wore 9 then I would agree that it would have been a sportsman-like gesture to mention it at the coin toss. He probably should have also mentioned all the heights and weights that are not correct as well. If Holmes had access to the video in all games, it would not have been hard to figure out, provided you watch them. My guess is they only watched the Greenup and Johnson Central games which were both on the road and in which case as Lee Corso stated two players were wearing different numbers. This would be like making a C on an open book test.

I am sure game film can be reviewed and if you focus on the accused it will either be confirmed he kicked the kid in the head or he didnt. If he did, then I hope Highlands scores 100 on Ashland. There is no place in football for kicking someone in the head. If he didnt, then I hope they score 75 and win.
