90% girl 10% cop

 

Girl had 1 DUI was scared to get another. She was 6 times over the legal limit, and high as a kite. She was told to stop, made the decision not to. Ran over cops foot, then proceeded to hit him with her vehicle. Had others in the car, one of which had a warrant for his arrest.

 

Only rational way I could think this officer could have avoided this was to block exit with his vehicle.

 

So really probably 95% girl.....5% deputy.

Girl had a previous DUI, was scared to get another. This is justified. He didn't wake up and say, "Today I want to kill a teenage girl." She was scared, but she should have pulled over.

 

She could have just been pulling up to pull off to the side of the road. You never know.

I'm glad I wasn't on the grand jury and won't be on any subsequent one. I overwhelmingly believe the young lady is at fault but cannot assign a percentage without hearing first hand testimony.

Of course the girl should have pulled over. That's a given. But do we know what the deputy's physical state and state of mind were when the slaying occurred at 2 a.m.?

I wasn't there. In the video she is never punching the gas.

 

You mean the video that shows very, very, very little of the altercation? The one where you don't see anything that really happened other than her ignore his initial request to stop?

The next move now rests with the attorney representing Samantha Ramsey's mother.

Is Lisa Wells wrong in what she states?

I listened to the podcast. I agree with Lisa Wells' main points. She was critical of the fact that the special prosecutor presented Brockman's defense to the grand jury. Wells also maintains that the deputy should have been charged with wanton endangerment for putting the three other kids in the car at risk by firing four bullets into the vehicle.

 

As I said previously, the chief aim of the investigators, sheriff's department and special prosecutor apparently was to get a tidy wrap-up to this case: "The grand jury has spoken. No questions please. Let's move on."
