I dont think Kobe can listen to Derek Fisher lol I don't think Kobe listens to anyone. Mike Brown, Mike D'Antoni, Rudy T, Byron Scott, hell...Phil Jackson. I do think he'd give Fisher more leeway than anyone else. They've been good friends a long time and Fisher could probably get away with saying more to Kobe than anyone else. Or....it could explode right in front of our very eyes.

Would the Lakers be throwing in cash? Don't know. It was discussion on Max and Marcellous yesterday. That was the first I'd heard of it. They kept mentioning Stoudemire, Hardaway, Jr and draft picks. I'm not sure how real this rumor is but it was entertaining listening to them break it down and discuss it.

Anybody that has been one of the greatest in the game since they stepped in the league deserves to go out "on top,' IMO. I normally wouldn't want it either. But if he leaves LA that cuts me short a season on ripping PP92 about Kobe.

November 4, 201411 yr Wouldn't matter. He'd make the playoffs and get beat. Maybe that beats the alternative, but they still wouldn't play enough defense to win a championship, and wouldn't have the type of offense to make up for it. Two high volume guys would be tough to make work, especially with both being on the wing and both currently as minus defenders. Kobe 5 years ago with Melo and that would be lethal.

He has absolutely no choice but to do that just for the Lakers to lose by 20. They suck so bad. If Kobe gets hurt they very well could go 0-82. They are so horrible.
