October 30, 201411 yr Yeah but the ability to score the way he is after 19 seasons in the NBA is some stand alone type stuff as well. MJ wasn't good enough to play 19 seasons. He wasted two years at UNC and one playing baseball (probably a quiet one year suspension for gambling). Just kidding about the two years at UNC - MJ would probably tell you he enjoyed them especially after hitting the game winner in a National Championship game.

MJ NEVER did anything wrong and it took his HOF speech for the media to quit coddling him. Can't stand him. Never have. Never will. October 30, 201411 yr Nah....his gap was a season and two thirds. He may have finished second overall but he wouldn't have caught Kareem. He took an additional three seasons off after the 98 title. So in total, he left almost 5 seasons on the table. Even if I took the lowest of his averages at the end of his career (20.0 in his final season) and the lowest amount of games he ever played in a non-injury shortened season (60 in his first year back in the last run), that's about 6,000 points which would have put him just behind Kareem. Like within one or two hundred. And the 90s years he left on the table it's fair to guess he would have played more games and scored significantly higher.
