October 27, 201411 yr You think the AFC East is weaker than the AFC South? I don't. Tennessee and Jacksonville are absolutely horrible. Houston is a fraud for the most part. One good, not great team (Indy, who has now lost 3 games and just gave up 51 to Pittsburgh), two terrible teams and a mediocre team at best (Houston). AFC East has one very good team (NE), two mediocre to decent teams (Miami and Buff) and one bad team (Jets).
October 27, 201411 yr Now I will say that the AFC East has and will be for a while be the weakest division in all of football. NE gets a ton of credit for always being in the playoffs but look at that division, could it be any easier path to the playoffs? Did the NFL do away with the AFC South? No way is the East worse than the South.
October 27, 201411 yr Author Very possible the AFC South winner could have a losing record. Bengals could have a lot to do with that. If Saints lose tonight and fall to 2-5 game against Bengals could be a must win. I could see Carolina winning division at 7-8-1
October 27, 201411 yr The AFC North is comprised of 4 teams over .500. Also 4 teams I do not trust any further than I can throw them.
October 27, 201411 yr Hard to tell how good or bad they are right now, they've played so many divisional games. Combined out of division record is 12-5-1, but there are a couple of really stinky loses in there. Bengals 2-2-1 Ravens 3-1 Steelers 4-1 Browns 3-1 The eyeball test seems to say that, nobody stinks, but nobody is more than a little above average.

When push comes to shove, do you want one of these teams in your foxhole? No. Not at this time at least.

October 27, 201411 yr Author With the exception of Denver, I'd say that about every team. I'd even say it about Denver after last year's debacle in the Super Bowl. There are no GREAT teams.....
October 28, 201411 yr 1. NFC West 2. NFC East 3. AFC North 4. AFC West 5. NFC North 6. AFC South 7. AFC East 8. NFC South It really only matters for wild card. Win the division and the playoffs are a whole new season.
