Guys, I was in no way trying to pick a fight. I was just saying that, you will blow some people out and might be on the receiving end of one of those games. It's not right to call foul. When you beat your chest and toot your horn in voice and on the scoreboard you have a target on you. You DO have a successful program, That makes beating you a big deal. If they get the best of you, You're fair game. I was told it was a bad kick and kids hustled to the ball. I wasn't there and didn't see it, so I can't say one way or the other about it being intentional. Coach Bernier is not disrespectful towards his opponents.

Cold hard facts...uh? Why don't you look at who scored the touchdowns in the second half of those games. It was the varsity backups and JV team. So I guess Dale should tell the kids on the jV that they should stop playing and lie down. I guess if Ryle could get up that big in the first half and let their JV play you might know something about that..Like I said you have no clue what you are talking about.

Back when Dale first started coaching at HHS he did run the score up a couple of times. That being said that was back 18 or 19yrs ago. If the backups and JV score points on the varsity that's on you. Get better!

Mueller ran up the score on anybody and everybody. He kept throwing and if I'm not wrong I've heard of him kicking onside when the game had been well under control. Where in the rule book does it say you have to get the ball back. They normally would not do that. But there is the highland rules. Turn about is fair play. Can't complain when you've done it.

 

Please provide examples...or is this just another "well someone said that one time on BGP" argument. Because most of those "rumors" get defunct-ed once we get to the bottom of them.

As usual a blatant disrespectful jab, just because I brought to your attention that you are not sinless in the score and onside category. Say what you want if it helps you sleep better at night. I rather find it amusing that rather than face the truth and facts that you stoop to insults. I'd rather lose with class than to win and be classless. I have not wished your team bad luck. Nor have I complained about you guys running up scores in the past. I just simply stated that you can't complain about others doing to you what you have done to them. So were you at those games? Did any starters play the second half of any of those games. Let me answer that for you. NO, in several of those games the starters weren't even in shoulder pads at the time. So if you put in a second and third team, do you ask them not to get normal reps??? What would you do??? If a team can't stop the backups, then thats not the issue for that game. Ask those coaches if they feel they score was run up. In fact, one of those coaches on your list commended HHS for being classy when HHS was attached for "running up the score". He actually came on here and defended them and said he never felt like HHS was running it up and that it was still a great experience for his team to see that caliber of a team.

 

Anyone can look at numbers and get a perception, but those are numbers don't represent any facts. People that look at numbers alone and have NO IDEA what went on in those games are silly!!!

 

Everyone thinks HHS runs up the score except the team they just played against that lost by a large margin. That's why raiderbird and me think you're clueless.

First of all don't have an aneurism, just calm down. Does it really matter who scored the points? We all know Dale kept his foot on the gas till he hit at least 50 points. I Don't have a problem with the scores. I do have a problem with you crying about it when it happens to you. Jesus would like to know how does that self righteous, condemning attitude look on you? Me personally, I'd rather see folks own it than denying it. BG was accused of running up the score against Logan County and the score was 91-something. Lopsided games happen. I don't have a problem with anything done within the rules in any game. If a team wants to kick onside kicks when up 30 points I am cool with that. Just don't get mad when the favor is returned. I'm not saying that is what happened here because I wasn't there and didn't see it. I do understand why it was done(if it was done) and even though I agree that each game tells a different story it is hard to escape the thought process of the score being run up when looking at some of those Highlands scores.

One other point...there are a lot of Harrison, Pendelton, Boyd and Holmes on your list. Do you really think HHS was "running up the score" on those teams. Heck, in some of those games, questionable starters didn't even dress and second teamers were in by the 2nd qtr!

 

AND SECONDLY, you are probably the same guy that is saying HHS is down now because they only beat Holmes by 36 and Harrison by 33!

The ones I remember, which is most of them, the first team didn't get a sniff in the second half. What can you do? Is pulling your team at half (sometimes before) running up the score?
