NO!

Is Dixie really up or is it more the product of beating up on weak competition and a very down NKY 6A District?

Let's call it what it is... Beechwood may very well be the best team they have beat and their also resume has a 41-7 blowout at the hands of CovCath and a narrow win over a Turpin team that isn't very strong.

Yes, they are confident, playing tough "slobberknocker" football and Moore is healthy.

NKY football and Louisville football is a whole different ball game in 6A. Dixie playing well but cant keep within 17 of the 4 or 5 teams in 6A.

If ever they had a shot, it was this year. It could be the high school football version of the perfect storm, but they'd need a truckload of breaks.

No...NKY outside of Highlands does not have a team that is within 21 points of X, T, Male, Bryan Station, or Manual. I also believe that Scott Co. and McCaracken would rout all of NKY too.

Disagree.

I know it was just a scrimmage. Dixie just manhandled a mediocre Simon Kenton team that scrimmaged X virtually even.

Your overconfidence is NKY's advantage.

Wait a minute here. Were you not one of those that said Highlands played a weak Bryan Station team and now you are listing them as one of the top 5 teams in the Commonwealth in 6A?

To answer your question 'ru, Dixie needs to take them one game at a time and beat the team in front of them that given week.

I am a NKY guy and would like to see Dixie make a run but I just dont see it.

I would love to say yes, but I'm not sure I believe they can. HOWEVER, I think the road to the finals is paved for ANYONE that gets hot and has the right matchups. So they could very easily get to the finals and anything can happen in one game, especially if the momentum shows up on your side. But I'm just not 100% sold they are a real good team or is the the District is just not that good. I'm not saying that to start issues, but I don't think there is any "proof without a doubt" that any of the NKY teams are ready to contest for the title. There is no measuring stick from any of their wins to tell me they can compete with about 8-10 other teams. I don't know, maybe they can. I was at the game Friday and I tend to agree with a little of what UKfan is trying to sell. I'm not sure it would take many adjustments to stop what they were doing to SK. I know they didn't have to do anything else, so maybe I didn't see all their offense. And they do have nice lines on both sides, but I really do think some of Dixie's success was contributed to what SK was doing on Defense. They had NOONE filling gaps and the Dixie RB's were in the defensive backfield all night. It felt like SK was run blitzing and picked the wrong gaps every time!!! And there were no adjustments at all. I have to think they will figure out how to keep them in front of them next time. and SK did move the ball in the first half, but stalled late in drives. So yes, it was total domination by Dixie and I think some of the SK kids lost their fight after going down early. So I'm still a little skeptical to think Dixie is ready for the Big Boys. I hope I'm wrong, but even in the blowout, I felt like if someone stops that read option, they stop Dixie and they will run into a team that can fill the right gaps and contain on the outside. Then what? SK was not able to do it at all. But I think they will figure something out and I think others will watch that and figure it out as well. Dixie is for real now and will get all the attention.

No. My main reason for this answer is a lack of a passing game. This was their achilles heel last year, and it's no different this year.

Dixie is definitely on a hot streak right now. To answer your question more specifically about them making a deep run, I think the offense will have to pass more the further they go. They won't be able to run like they have on everyone.
