According to calpreps, the best team Meade County has beaten is Warren East ranked #5934 in the nation. Here are teams Central Hardin has defeated that are ranked higher than Warren East:

 

#2187 North Hopkins (Madisonville, KY) (35-7)

#2435 Meade County (Brandenburg, KY) (15-14)

#4043 Bullitt East (Mt. Washington, KY) (35-28)

#5217 Collins [Martha Layne] (Shelbyville, KY) (34-9)

#5751 North Hardin (Radcliff, KY) (28-21)

 

Also, FYI calpreps.com has Meade County ranked #14 in 6A.

You just look and compare schedules with others in the 6A class.

If T had converted the two point try at the end of last Friday's game do you have a 3-way tie for first? 1, 2, & 3 from the same district looks about right to me. If M shocks H again this year I thin they move up to #4.

Meade has a soft schedule. The two teams that are viewed as test they have lost.

No way Simon Kenton deserves in over Henry Clay or Lafayette, IMHO. Essentially all the Fayette area schools have a legitimate argument that they are ahead of SK. Since we learned that comparing scores was acceptable in the 3A rankings..let's do it here:

 

Simon Kenton 27

Boone County 21

 

Lafayette 30

Boone County 14

 

Henry Clay 49

Boone County 7

 

In addition to this...Henry Clay and Lafayette's schedules have been night and day stronger. SK has no win as good as Lafayette's wins over LexCath or Central...

This is for both Voice of Reason & CoachPuckett. Yes some of the teams Meade has played are struggling this year. But keep in mind that's not Meade County's issue. These schedules are made 3 years out, the coaching staff cannot predict the future. Meade has only given up 32 points to teams in the top 10 in 6A. So CoachPuckett, I wont say Meade has played a soft schedule just some of the teams are off this year. Normally a schedule containing Male, Central Hardin, John Hardin, Warren East and Doss would be considered a good schedule. Yes Meade lost to Central in OT by 1 point. I don't think that validates anything one way or the other for either program. You would think they would would get a win sooner or later in 15 years. Meade has 5 shutouts and has held both Male & CH way below their averages. That a good year for any team.

If Addesa/Kaiser (starting FB/LB) were 100%, Meade probably would have shut out Central and scores at least 21. Central wasn't that good.
