I would think it wouldn't apply as much as the line got that low, but FSU is just 1-6 against the spread this season. Comparably, Louisville is 5-3 vs. the spread. Those are really the only things I can think of. Unless the bettors just genuinely believe UL is going to win it.

I thought the opening line of 8.5 was almost too soft. I figured it would be closer to 10. I can't believe it's been bet down like this. I really feel like I'm missing something.

The return to health for Gardner, Parker, and Dyer was definitely a boon for the offense, but I can't believe people think that 10 days from the NC State game in which they were good but not great and suddenly Louisville will move the ball on FSU?

Is the ineffectiveness of FSU offensive line in question with the front seven of Louisville coming at them? That seems a bit much too.

I hope it's all true... I'm just not on board.

I believe FSU will have trouble running the ball on the Louisville front seven, but then again, FSU struggles to run the ball on everyone. I assumed the line started to come down when it appeared that Karlos Williams might miss the game and the running game be in even more trouble, but it appears that won't be the case. The O-Line hasn't been strong this season, but against Notre Dame, Jameis handled it like a pro even as Notre Dame dropped blitz after blitz on him. And if UL doesn't blitz to get pressure, then he'll pick them apart.

FSU has been a second half team all season, so the start to the game will be crucial for Louisville. I personally don't see Louisville winning it and while the line being bet down confuses me, it doesn't concern me. That's not to say I might not get real concerned real quick come Thursday night.

I can. Have you watched FSU play this season?

I have... but I've also watched Louisville. The Cardinals haven't seem particularly frightening; certainly not on offense.

Louisville will definitely blitz. I think a lot of the numbers on the Louisville defense aren't incredibly reliable for this type of game because, with rare exception, the Cardinals have been dealing with quarterbacks that aren't particularly threatening. The first offensive touchdown Louisville had given up in a month finally came when they saw NC State's Jacoby Brisett two weeks ago and he tossed a couple scores.

The Cardinals will bring that pressure but Winston's the kind of player than can make Louisville's defense pay for bringing several of the linebackers on the blitz.

It'll be interesting to see how that front seven holds up if Winston starts hitting the gaps behind the linebackers.

Apparently FSU is currently practicing downtown at the Waterfront, right next to Joe's Crab Shack...

You can't make this stuff up. :lol2:

There's no way that's true. I think somebody did make that stuff up.

Kent Spencer from WHAS said they've got footage...

Someone commented that the hate for FSU is so bad now that even UK fans will be rooting for UL and Bobby P this week.

That's saying something.
