A 3-way tie would be disastrous for SK because they would probably drop to a 3 seed. The first tie breaker is head to head, that doesn't work. The second is wins by 4 of your opponents. Since Ryle played better competition, they would get the 2 seed.

Albert is correct. You can only count Ws for teams you have beaten AND that you're not tied with. Without doing exact calculations I'd say Dixie would get the 1 which would then give SK the 2 via head-to-head with Ryle.

If it goes to a three way tie-breaker, its probably going to come down to Simon Kenton's game against Bullitt Central this week. They are 8-0 right now. Right now, Dixie has the trump card with a win over Beechwood, who likely end up 8-2. A win over a Bullitt Central team that will end up at worst 8-2 (they also play South Oldham on Halloween) would make it interesting.

 

Dixie wins this week anyway, though.

Good point. Forgot about SK's game against BC.

If the roles were reversed, it would be New Cath lamenting they can't beat Mayfield, and Noel Rash would be up there with the prior BW coach in state rings. Mayfield would have beaten any 1,2 or 3a team last few years, they have been that good.

 

Why hasn't BG moved to 6a? Highlands to 5a? Because they don't have to. Same with BW. I am sure they wish they were 2a all these years.

Easy, I'll make sure our Ryle boys know what all you people think. We rely on England like Dixie does Moore it goes both ways. We are no easy win, get ready for a dog fight. We have more than one back . He's our 1000 yard rusher and the starter. Our line is the key and they are good. So is Dixie's so it should be a good game. I'll be bigger and show some respect for our opponents. Dixie will be a tough game. We are capable at this point of besting anyone in our district. Please come in to this game flat.

 

No one is putting down the program,, just giving my opinion of how I believe the game would go. The comparison between Moore and England is of no consequence. Moore is the QB and as he goes so goes Dixie. IMO Ryle is playing England out of position,, I think he would be much more suited to play TE and have him defended by a LB in pass coverage or a Safety whom he will outmatch with his size. I think the adjustments that Ryle has made to go with a more run heavy offense to get on the winning track for this season is a good move. However,, to end up hear after changing coaches and bringing in a new offense centered around the passing game has to be somewhat of a let down,,, but that is just this man's opinion
