Agreed! Just look at some athletes that get to college and THEN before classes start the school finds out they did not meet requirements. Happened this past summer in basketball, a big name player too but his name escapes me at the moment.

You have to be registered with the NCAA clearing house, until then no coach will call you. They don't want to waste their time on somebody who wont make the NCAA minimum requirements. Once your registered you will know if someone is interested in you for sure.

Huh? Most do not register with the NCAA Eligibility Center until after their academic Junior year and most high level D1 players have offers going into their Junior year.

That's not correct. Kids don't even usually register until after their junior year. Plenty of recruiting goes on before the registration.

This is 100% correct. There is a deadline when you have to register and the deadline is usually well after recruiting takes place.
