Wow, here we go again. You should call all the D1 schools looking at Powell and England and tell them they should stop, stop calling the coaches and stop sending letters. No more trips to campuses because they aren't going to play D1. Could those schools be wrong or you? Both have the size speed and athleticism that schools are looking for or they wouldn't be interested in the slightest. I think you are way of base and are going to be so wrong about those two. If they played for your school you would say different but because they don't they aren't good enough. Then there are no D1 backs in NKY.

The first thing I would say is if they were division one and playing in NKY, the numbers would have to be much higher and their film would have to prove they can do it against top competition. How many guys do you think send film to all the D1 schools to look at. To even get you to look at the film, you better have a 40 time and the size or they won't even click on the link. Then, how many make thru that? Then it goes into "well the numbers are impressive, but who are they doing it against?" And then these guys have been doing it so long, they can most likely look at the area they play in to see if it warrant a deeper look. If a kid from Moeller has the exact same numbers or even less that a kid from a nky school, who do you think takes priority in a D1 recruiter's mind? They wouldn't even look at the NKY kid until they run out of options of kid in football hotbeds. There are sooooo many kids to look at that they have to have a system/criteria for where they are going to spend their time. Logically, the most value added time is spending it in football hotbeds. So HS numbers really mean about 0 to D1 recruiters until they have been able to identify they are comparing apples to apples.

And the boxes aren't loaded against Dixie? News to me. I have a feeling there are more people in the box against Dixie than SK since Racke has had success throwing the ball. And now we are talking about the rushing title? I didn't know we were using that as the gauge. If Zajac was handed the ball as much as Powell (132 times so far) he would have 1,051 yards. And roughly 900 yards if given the ball as much as England (prior to the CCHS game, 112 times).

 

It's possible that Zajac isn't featured as much because he also plays defense. Or because when Dixie gets up on people they let other people get opportunities to get touches.

 

As for if he's being recruited, I do not know. Haven't asked.

 

PS: All this isn't to say Luke is the best RB in NKY or to say he's better than so and so, because many variables go into ranking players and nobody here will agree on anything. This is merely to point out that your post of "just doesn't have the production" is simply asinine.

Letters mean 0. offers matter. A coach txt you matters calling you. A few game with 50 others doesn't mean much. In fact when an offer to a free game would come my way. First thing I would say. Are you considering offering me? Judging interest so as not to waste time.

No disrespect taken AlbertFT, however let me be clear. I think your misinformed or lack an objective eye when it comes to evaluating talent based on, "they are not starting offense." Going to be a very good, hard fought football game in Union. Looking forward to seeing how the non-starters do against the Raiders! :thumb:
